Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 1973 Dodge Challenger (originally a yellow 318 car) 1967 383 big block and 727 automatic transmission New 2.5” dual exhaust with Thrush mufflers with turndown tips (the rear valance is there to put on the dual R/T style tips). All new exhaust from the headers on back. 8 ¾ rear with adjustable air shocks New gas tank New tires with great condition original Rally wheels with all the trim rings R/T hood with pins and rear Go Wing spoiler Chrome steel bumpers (will include the rear bumper pads) Panther Pink paint, but engine compartment is black Comes with the D-O-D-G-E letter emblems for the rear, just missing the E, easy to get The hood letters are all thereAll lights and signals are working. This car runs and drives great, but it does need the usual body work. The paint is not the best and there are primer spots on the rear. The quarter panels have been replaced at one time. Bondo use is definitely evident throughout parts of the body. The doors are very solid. You can see by the pictures where work is needed on the body. All the trim pieces are there. Floors are solid, trunk pan is solid. Slight rust at the forward areas of the lower door jams. Power steering pump needs replacing, and the kickdown linkage for the trans needs adjustment. Windshield is cracked, all other glass is good. Alternator bracket needs to be reinforced. All of these are fairly minor issues. The all black interior is in really good shape for a car this old. Simulated wood grain console with original shifter. The front high back buckets are torn and need recovering, but the back seat is in excellent shape. Needs a new headliner, and the dash pad is cracked. Comes with a new rear deck panel, since the other one was cut out for speakers. Original steering wheel. Needs carpet throughout. Included with the car: spare Rally wheel, an extra complete rear leaf spring, rear interior deck panel, D, O, D, G rear letters, and rear bumper pads.A $500 deposit via PayPal is required within 48 hours of the end of the auction. Full payment is due within 7 days of the end of auction. Payment must be either in the form of a cashier's check or money order. No personal checks will be accepted. Buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup or shipping. All in all, this is a very solid and driveable Challenger. It’s all there, and it’s rare to find a Mopar project that you can actually drive around while fixing her up. It sounds great and is fast! It gets the thumbs up everywhere you go. With a little time and work it could be a really nice ride. I will really hate to see it go but too many projects, money, time, you know the deal. These E-bodies are rare and getting harder and harder to find, so good luck bidding. I've also learned from potential buyers that that part of the instrument cluster was swapped out somewhere along the way, so the odometer probably doesn't truly reflect the actual mileage any way. The engine and trans aren't original (engine is rebuilt), so it really doesn't make a difference, but I just wanted to clarify for the accuracy of the listing.
