1960 Chevy pick-up, std. cab, short bed step-side, 235 cin-line 6 cyl. 4 speed. This truck spent its life in Santa Fe New Mexico, they do not use salt on the roads here in the winter so the only real rust is limited to the front fenders. This is a COOL little truck it is complete and original. It runs, drives, shifts nice, and fun to drive, a solid project. Truck looks rough but is in good solid condition with its original, otherwise hard to find parts. I dont want to sell it, I planed to restore it myself but health and financial limitations are my reasons for selling. Here is why this particular truck is a great candidate for restoration hotrod rat rod etc... Chassis: is undamaged, very solid having only surface rust, steering and brakes etc are complete and work fine with no leaks. Five original 16” wheels with the hub cap clips. Actual milage unknown Cab: is complete, and very solid. The floor boards are solid, door hinge mounts and fire wall are perfect, and rust free, the rear lower cab corners are not rusted, both rocker panels are solid ( passenger side has rust perforation, rocker panel available for about $30.00) new back window. Windshield is cracked, (available new for around $250). Interior: Dashboard is original and UNCUT. I rebuilt the heater controls, they work perfectly as does the fan, core has small leak, (Windshield wiper switch is missing), don’t know if the motor works, both are readily available. Doors: complete in original UNCUT condition. Glass is excellent, window regulators, latches, handles etc. all work great, doors are nearly rust free and need mininal body work. Front clip: solid, complete, needs minimal body work. Hood is complete solid, fenders are rusted but repairable (patch panels included) or inexpensively replaced with new ones. Step-side bed: is complete, original, in good repairable condition. Fenders are solid, need dent repair body work on driver side. Tailgate is in great condition (except license plate holes), as usual the (wood is rotted away but can be replaced or is available in kit form). Drive line: Entire drive line is complete as original. The 235 cid inline 6 cylinder runs well, give it some choke, pump the gas, turn the key and it fires right up, ( smokes needs basic overhaul) but it is a good (rebuildable) engine. Includes RARE original oil bath air cleaner, external oil filter, and working generator, new fuel pump. Radiator and water pump and do not leak or overheat. Original “granny” 4 speed makes no noise, has no leaks and works great, as do the clutch and rear end. Buyer will arrange freight. I will deliver the truck to a transportation pickup point in Albuquerque 87109 or you can come pick it up!
