Selling this for local used car dealer and collector. 1956 Buick Special that was featured in the movie "Foreign Student". 4 door sedan with V8 engine and automatic transmission. Red and black with black cloth interior. Odometer is showing 1089 miles but the true mileage is unknown. Car is currently dealership titled. Car was sold from Featherstone Productions in 1993 to the last owner. Car is in very good derivable condition and decent cosmetic condition. Mechanically very sound and reasonably complete, aside from a disabled windshield wiper system. There have been several restorations on the vehicle over the years as you can see. You'll find some evidence of body work around the lower sections of the wheel wells but overall it's pretty straight and free of any significant rust. The car looks great at a distance, but upon close inspection you'll find the paint job to be very imperfect. There are several areas of paint pimples and swirl marks as you can see in the close-up pics. Also a section on the drivers side rear door towards the bottom where surface rust is showing through the black paint. There's a very small dent above the drivers side windshield (see close up pic). Some of the chrome fixtures are pitted and the hood ornament is cracked/broken. Many of the exterior lenses are clouded and crackled from age. White wall tires are in excellent condition and present nicely. Interior is in visibly pleasing condition. The re-upholstery on the front and back seats is a decent job and there are no tears or stains. The original dash and instruments are in very good and clean original condition. Carpets are in very good condition. Better attention to detail could be applied to the window moldings and finish details. Trunk area is untidy. Love it and drive it as-is or it's an excellent base for further restoration.
