Vehicle Detail
The 1st 30th Anniversary off the production line!!!! Build #0001! SLP Options! NO RESERVE! RARE FIND! 1997 Chevrolet Camaro SS 30th Anniversary Edition. It was just traded in to us. Please do your own due diligence. I am going to provide all documentation that was given to me when the vehicle was traded in. Please verify for accuracy. The following information was given to me by the previous owner regarding the vehicle..... 30th Anniversary Edition which includes Hugger Orange stripes on white base paint. It was only available on the Z28 and SS models. A 30th Anniversary Camaro may be identified by RPO code Z4C on the trim tag. There are only 30th Anniversary Camaros made in 1997. If a 1997 Camaro doesn't have Z4C on the tag, it isn't a 30th Anniversary Edition. 957 30th Anniversary SS cars were built. An additional 108 30th Anniversary Camaro SS vehicles were modified by SLP. He also said this vehicle was sold by Jack Cauley Chevrolet in Michigan and was 1997 Camaro SS # PR01 and 30th Anniversary SS Build # 0001. He also stated it came with all SLP options including 6 speed Hurst Shifter, SLP High Performance Exhaust, Torsen Torque Sensing Limited Slip Differential, Level II Bilstein Sport Suspension, Performance Lubricants Package, and more. The engine compartment is signed by Jon Moss and he believes Steve Stottlemier. He states it is a very rare car being the first SS Anniversary Car ever built! It also came with the SLP options and is a hardtop, which is also very rare. I found a receipt dated 8/11/98 from MTI Motorsports that shows the following was also installed....4:10 gear set, hypertech power programmer, 160 degree powerstat, hypertech airfoil, torsen paddle kit, and SLR ported exhaust manifold. As for the condition, it needs some love. It was stored in a barn as part of his collection, but over the years, as his collection grew, unfortunately the Camaro was stored outside. The clear coat is coming up in spots and the orange stripes are also pretty faded and coming up in spots. The headliner is dipping down in the middle and the driver's seat shows a little wear on the bolster. The front bumper has cracks and paint peeling. It runs very strong and the clutch feels good. The keyless entry fobs are not working, but the power locks work on the inside. It could also use two rear tires. That's about it. Like I said , it needs some love, but what a great find! Everyone we talk to gives us information that seems to conflict with other information received. Some people tell us it's a prototype, others say it's not. Like we said before, please do your own due diligence. Please call SLP or whoever else has information regarding the vehicle. We have provided the VIN, window stickers, and all other documentation we received when the vehicle was traded in.****************
