2004 Triumph Bonneville

I bought this bike with a damaged front end--bent wheel and fork tubes. I intended to just use the motor and transmission (same motor as a bonneville scrambler) to build a chopper, but other than the front end, the bike was just in excellent shape, so I decided to just replace the damaged parts. I went with harley style tubes, front wheel and rotors, using the Triumph lower legs and brake calipers. I added a little rake to the front end, and it really helped the lines of the bike compared to the factory America/Speedmaster. I also put shorter shocks on the rear. The project is not quite complete, and still needs finishing and cleaning up, but the hard stuff's done. The bike runs and rides great as is, and I'm working on it still. It should have the front fender and right brake caliper installed this week (the caliper's fine, but the brakeline to it requires a front fender so it doesn't contact the tire. There are some dings in the tank and minor scratches, but it looks great overall and the motor/trans is untouched. Starts right up and runs fine. On Oct-04-11 at 06:49:44 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE! Just installed front fender and right caliper. Fender's just in primer but it looks a lot more finished and stops on a dime. I uploaded pix...they're the two with the bike on the concrete driveway.
