Up for bid is a 1966 Ford Fairlane Ford (4 door) with a 289 engine, odmeter shows 43990 I am not sure of this but the engine is very tight. Engine runs on a gallon gas can, for the tank needs flushing, carb. needs a rebuild, I am a retired certified mechanic and i purchased a rebuild kit but shaking to bad to install. Car looks to be original and solid, someone started to repaint it at one time or other. There is some rust a few pits, dings and scratches,. The brakes don't work. The auto transmision shifts out, I have not drove it because of the brakes, but with the car in one spot it will go in reverse, forward. Oh yes there is some visible repair on the rear passanger quarter panel, and a small amount on the right front fender. I am a mechanic not a body man and I feel the floor is good, seats are good, the rear seat at the top has some across the top damaged. the head liner is parted at one seam and coming down. some more good all 4 original hub caps are there, (in the trunk is the other white wall tire). trunk looks to be dry and in good shape. horn blows, lights work, turn signals work, radio plays, chrome is there but faded in places. front bumper is (up) on the drivers side just a little bit. Front bumper is chrome but pretty rusty. I want you to understand you can't jump in and drive away, car runs and i will demonstrate for you but needs work and some body work and i feel you will have a nice car. No titles were issued back then in this state. but with a notorized bill of sale that should not be a problem. I have described to the best I can, bring a trailer or.. and I will assist in loading.
