1986 MERCEDES BENZ 560SL CONVERTIBLE- NO RUST CALIFORNIA CAR- NO RESERVE California classic, first year of the 560 series up for auction. This is a rust free car coming out of the Los Angeles area. Powerful eight cylinder engine coupled to a smooth shifting automatic transmission. Excellent color combination and the desirable red exterior with the black leather interior. The paint on the car is full of gleam, with some small surface scratches but still with tons of luster. It appears that the left rear quarter panel was repainted at some stage.The chrome and silver on the car is in excellent shape. Wheels and tires in good condition.The Interior of the car is all original with good leather on the seats and decent carpeting. Wood veneer is ok with some small cracking in places. Dash area is all good. Car comes with a rear booster seat which was an option when purchased. Mechanically the car runs and drives strong. There are a few minor problems which is the play in the steering which is not uncommon on these models, possibly the steering coupling. The inside heater fan is noisy and the air conditioning does not work. Could need freon.The convertible canvas soft top is in good condition with exception to the rear window which is foggy and not to clear.The drivers sun visor is missing and the molding on the drivers side fender is also missing of which I will try and find and replace.
