1972 Ford Ranchero GT I have owned this car about a year. The previous owner rebuilt the engine. It runs great. In the year that I've owned the car, I have completed the bodywork the previous owner started. Its had a complete "doors off, fenders off, tailgate off" high quality base coat, clear coat paint job. The fender wells, core support and everything under the hood was painted with satin black. Underside of car was blasted clean and painted with undercoat and black paint and looks good. On the inside, new carpet, headliner, seats recovered, replaced the panel behind the seat that hides the spare tire, and a new dash cover. Also a new shift boot. Front bumper rechromed. Grille was also freshened up with new paint. Everything looks as it should. Now its time to pass the car on to someone else.... List of items replaced on the car since I've owned it: recored radiator-new hoses, new heater hoses. rebuilt distributor-converted to electronic with petronix kit. Original carb rebuilt. New fuel pump added. Fuel tank dropped and cleaned, reinstalled with new filter. All bed trim, window trim (front, back and side) has all been straightened and polished. Looks great. Old school slotted mags were polished and are on car with 1934 Ford hubcabs w/adapters from Al's. All 4 wheels are 15x7 New tires- 235-60-15 on rear 205-60-15 on front Fresh oil change, new antifreeze added when radiator installed. All gauges and lights in working order but for the tach (works off & on). Original AM/FM radio still in place in dash, but doesn't work. Right blinker does not cancel.
