Originally the car came equipped with a 4.9L but now has a 6.6L Pontiac Engine (X4 Engine Code). This car is considered to be an every day driver, not a show car. I have the PHS Documentation, original owners manual, BUILDSHEET, and other manuals when the car was purchased new + receipts. This is an AIR CONDITIONED car which still blows cold. I just spent $800 on having the transmission professionally rebuilt, it is a TH350 and does have a factory posi rearend. I do have copies of the tranny receipts for record. This T/A has had some restoration work that us beginning to show. The paint is about 5 years old and looks great from ten feet. Get up close, and you will find some imperfections which I tried my best to capture in my photos (SEE CHECKING ON HOOD/ROOF, HOLE IN DOOR JAM, BOTTOM OF DRIVER FENDER CRACKED/RUSTED, RUST ON FIREWALL ABOVE BRAKE BOOSTER). The doors shut like typical trans am doors, you have to slam them. Besides a very deep shine and mirror finish there are some spider cracks/paint chipping on the nose of the car which I also photographed. The interior is pretty much original and will need a headliner. It appears as though the upholstery is original and has average wear for it's age. All of the seat belts are present and functional. It does have a high end SONY CD/AM/FM system installed with quality speakers and a nice amp. It sounds great! The clock works, sometimes. The dash has an obvious crack. The tilt is tight and works well. The carpeting is faded/old, probably original. As pictures I have all trim waiting to be installed after a headliner is installed. The trunk is in good shape. The support below the rear bumper where most of these T/A's rot IS rotted. Otherwise, the undercariage, floor pans, rockers are in great shape. Very solid underneath besides that portion below the bumper. The car starts up, runs, and drives pretty well. The brakes work well (disc in the front). There is a little rattling when driving but I guess nothing out of the ordinary for a classic car. It doesn't smoke or overheat. Some of the exterior lighting is a little backwards (hit brakes and front fog lights blink instead of taillights). Headlights and taillights do function properly. It has an expensive oddyssey batery installed. The tires are decent but are old. All snowflakes are in great shape with all centercaps present. This is an intermediate driveable classic that will turn heads and be an enjoyment to drive. Please, please, please bid with confidence and know that I am human and some things about the car I forgot to mention. Don’t assume something is correct before you bid/buy. Up for auction at NO RESERVE is a nice Y84 Special Edition 1980 Pontiac Trans AM with 78K miles with Factory Working Air. Originally the car came equipped with a 4.9L but now has a 6.6L Pontiac Engine (X4 Engine Code). This car is considered to be an every day driver, not a show car. I have the PHS Documentation, original owners manual, BUILDSHEET, and other manuals when the car was purchased new + receipts. This is an AIR CONDITIONED car which still blows cold. I just spent $800 on having the transmission professionally rebuilt, it is a TH350 and does have a factory posi rearend. I do have copies of the tranny receipts for record.

This T/A has had some restoration work that us beginning to show.

The paint is about 5 years old and looks great from ten feet. Get up close, and you will find some imperfections which I tried my best to capture in my photos (SEE CHECKING ON HOOD/ROOF, HOLE IN DOOR JAM, BOTTOM OF DRIVER FENDER CRACKED/RUSTED, RUST ON FIREWALL ABOVE BRAKE BOOSTER). The doors shut like typical trans am doors, you have to slam them. Besides a very deep shine and mirror finish there are some spider cracks/paint chipping on the nose of the car which I also photographed.

The interior is pretty much original and will need a headliner. It appears as though the upholstery is original and has average wear for it's age. All of the seat belts are present and functional. It does have a high end SONY CD/AM/FM system installed with quality speakers and a nice amp. It sounds great! The clock works, sometimes. The dash has an obvious crack. The tilt is tight and works well. The carpeting is faded/old, probably original. As pictures I have all trim waiting to be installed after a headliner is installed.

The trunk is in good shape. The support below the rear bumper where most of these T/A's rot IS rotted. Otherwise, the undercariage, floor pans, rockers are in great shape. Very solid underneath besides that portion below the bumper.

The car starts up, runs, and drives pretty well. The brakes work well (disc in the front). There is a little rattling when driving but I guess nothing out of the ordinary for a classic car. It doesn't smoke or overheat. Some of the exterior lighting is a little backwards (hit brakes and front fog lights blink instead of taillights). Headlights and taillights do function properly. It has an expensive oddyssey batery installed. The tires are decent but are old. All snowflakes are in great shape with all centercaps present.

This is an intermediate driveable classic that will turn heads and be an enjoyment to drive. Please, please, please bid with confidence and know that I am human and some things about the car I forgot to mention. Don’t assume something is correct before you bid/buy.
