Vehicle Detail
No Reserve. Volvo 122 wagon. Been sitting in a warehouse for 25 years. Very Original 220. Mostly original blue paint. Original faded red interior. No previous body damage that I can find. Very limited rust. Not rusted in the typical area's where these wagons rust,.. Ie behind the rear wheels, under the tail lights, etc... two 1" area's on either front floors. some on front fenders as can be seen in pics. 3/4" area on left inner fender well. Limited surface rust in area's that can be seen in pics. Undercoating stripped on interior floors. Very solid and not typical east coast car. Motor is not turning over and is soaking in marvel mystery oil. One caliper is off but included with the car. Car has original ignition keys and door keys. Dealer options : door mirror, stainless wheel beauty rings, and locking Volvo gas cap and .. touch up Volvo paint tube... Has spare tire, hold down and jack. The spare wheel is the "451" wheel which were used on wagons and are wider. There is some rust on the bottom of the lower tailgate. Has a B18 motor (which looks to be original) with M40 4 speed transmission. Original 3 hole SU carburetors with freed up pistons. All door seals good and possibly original. There is a sticker on it that says the odometer was replaced at (I think) 18909 or something like that, it is hard to make out. The current odometer shows 81433. I am pretty sure this car was inside most of it's life due to the great condition of the chrome and seals. The headliner is in very good shape. Even has the original plastic over the heater controls.. I am now listing this car with NO RESERVE. For those that were thinking about buying one on the west coast, this one will come WITHOUT the $1300.00 shipping fee to get it to the east coast and I rather doubt you will find one this original for 1500-3k out there.. I am also including a New, in box New Old stock single tube exhaust system, I think for the sedan, but can be traded or modified, this alone is worth $300. These cars are very user friendly and there is lots of support of many who have owned these cars on the internet ie:- The Brickboard, the 1800 Yahoo list, TurboBricks, Swedespeed, IPD , if you put a note on any of these lists saying you were looking for a B20 to transplant into this ride, you would probably get 10 replies on the east coast,.. Very friendly and informative people that have years of experience with these cars on all boards!! Also, all these parts for Amazons are readily available on the east coast from VP in SC and Swedish Treasures in NY. I wish I could keep this car, it is sooo much better than the one I have already started to restore and am very deep into, a 1968 220 that belonged to Sigourney Weaver. They are really great cars, (and easier to get in and out of than a 1800...) and.. wagon are soo much more fun and useful than a 2 door and a sedan.. and look really good with a set of American Racing D Thrusts... Sold as is. All sales final. $500.00 down payment due within 24 hours. Payment due within 7 days of close of auction. Car to be picked up within 2 weeks of close of auction in Mayo/Edgewater, Md 21037. I will work with European buyers from Sweden, Germany etc as best I can. If you cannot follow the payment terms or pick up the boat within two weeks or make arrangements to have it picked up and / or shipped, please do not bid. If you have o or negative feedback, please contact me before bidding. thanks. No Reserve.
