Up for auction is a Police Package Caprice with the high performance engine and heavy duty performance suspension. I put in a new, not rebuilt high performance transmission and had several thousand dollars worth of work done in 2008 while i was in Iraq. But I was gone way too long and it has pretty much just sat in place since then. I bought this vehicle before it went to auction back in Houston where I was a police officer, so I know its history well. But again it has just been sitting and life got in the way of my plan to custom restore it, so I am selling it hopefully to someone who will pick up the torch and make it what it should be. You cant get a better project car than a caprice. They ride smoother than just about anything on the road and this model runs just about faster than anything out there as well. Not encouraging unsafe driving! It's a tank that get 23 miles to the gallon on the road and 19 in town. The ac is ice cold. It has a towing package and air adjustable shocks to add over 1000 lbs of lift to the rear. I wish I could gaurantee a perfect running vehicle, but I cant, it has sat so long that when I run it it acts like it has bad fuel. The battery wont hold a charge either. My plan was to install a new high performance engine so I am selling it from that perspective. It will need plenty of time and commitment to really do this right, but thats what a project car is all about. No reserve on the auction and keep in mind that I am selling this as is. This car will need to be transported from the place of sell, it is not in condition to be driven. It has just sat too long. Good tires though! Less than 300 miles on them. bid to win.
