For sale is a 1949 Chevrolet 3100 Pick up. I purchased the pick-up about a year and a half ago as a project and driver. Due to financial restraints I am no longer able to complete the restoration. When I received the truck it was in ruff condition , however it does have lots of potential the body is 95% rust free. What I have done is listed as follows: Engine -Vehicle was purchased with a 235 CID engine installed with 3-speed transmission with closed drive line -Transmission gears and clutch seem to shift tight with no play when clutch is pressed. I don’t forsee any issues with it when driving. (Was only tested in while sitting, again it has not been test driven) -Motor appears to have been in the truck for at least 20 years. After running the serial numbers that were stamped on the engine it was discovered that the engine is originally from a 1964 Chevy truck. -New Spark plugs and wires -Oil change -New fuel filter inside carburetor -New rotor and distributor cap -New battery installed after photos were taken -Engine turns over and fires right up just fine but I have not test driven the truck because the brakes need maintenance and or adjusting. Due to financial restraints I was not able to complete the brake maintenance. Electrical - All electrical wiring appears to be intact and somewhere along the line the truck was converted to 12 volt. However; the head lights, taillights, and gages do not turn on. Possibly could be a fuse issue because all wires are intact but again had been sitting for 30 years. Interior -Missing minor details such as radio delete plate and glove box lock -Floors are rust free ,sanded and refinished with Rustolium hammered affect -New custom upholstery including after-market customer headliner -Original gages taken apart and cleaned. Installed new face decals and glass (gages have not been tested) -New shift knob (see additional information section) -Dash sanded and refinished -The truck has original glass in good condition except front right driver side window that has one crack. The passenger window is cracked yet still in tack. Exterior Body -Before purchase truck had been sitting for 30 years. Found only 1 very small area of rust on the left rear fender which has since been treated. -Since receiving the truck it has been sanded, and primered . The primer is only decent but I want to make it clear that I am not a professional, so it may need attention or can be driven as is. -Visor was received with truck I added new aftermarket chrome mounting brackets, but may need attention or adjusting Tires & Wheels : New HIWAY 6.50-16LT tires are currently installed with the original 16 inch steel wheel along with dog dish hubcaps. Bed: -When I purchased the truck it had rotted wood and a complete set of strips (strips had surface rust See additional information) -Installed new wood with a protective waterproof staining -Custom bed is bolted and secured with all new hardware (see pictures) -New block kit installed Undercarriage: Undercarriage is completely stock with all original suspension and running gear. I have not invested time or money into the undercarriage but is whole, complete and intact. Additional information: -Set of bed strips that DO have surface rust included -Extra set of painted door window moldings included (chrome moldings currently installed around door windows) -New 2nd shift knob (wizard) included with a set of adapters Please contact me with any and all questions or concerns before bidding.
