Vehicle Detail
Time to sell my baby. I purchased this car in 1987. It was shipped here from Arizona. I have the original build sheet & it shows produced in Van Nuys California. Original dealer was Ray Korte Chevrolet in Scottsdale Arizona. Car was originally 350 2-bbl (I do have this engine & winning bidder can have the engine if they like), manual transmission with A/C (air is not connected). Options include power front disc brakes, remote control driver side mirror, console, tinted windows. It is the original color combination of Butternut Yellow, white buckets & has white vinyl top. I drove the car a couple years in its original condition as I received it. Then decided to update the car & drive train. The car was repainted original color, new vinyl top installed. Stripes installed. New front bucket seat covers installed. Front & rear bumpers re-chromed. I purchased LS6 crate engine from Chevrolet parts department. This is a copy of the original famous Big Block 454/450 h.p. engine & is very authentic. Includes correct cam, aluminum intake, solid lifters. Engine came complete top to bottom except for exhaust, carb. & distributor. Holley 650 cfm was installed. The transmission was replaced with a Muncie to handle the power. Also the original 10 bolt was replaced with a rebuilt 12 bolt 4.11 posi. Also added was Chevelle Cowl Induction Hood with matching air cleaner. Cowl Induction is operational. I took completed car to local car shows, cruise nights & enjoyed driving the car short trips. Car was "never" raced. Since completion in early 90's estimate of probably less than 3,000 miles on the car. The car has been a garage queen sitting for past 19 years. Because of this there is some mildew on the inside & headliner. The car mainly needs cleaning. Condition I would rate good. Car is "solid" with only 1 small pin hole in the trunk. I believe all original sheet metal. A couple small bubbles on back deck lid by the Chevelle emblem & above one of the wheel wells. Car is driveable & starts right up (just had the Holley professionaly rebuilt). Bumpers are straight & excellent condition. Door panels, lower inside valance are original & have damage from when stereo speakers were added prior to my ownership. Back seat is also original & shows signs of its 40 year age. The car has "dark" Arizona window tinting on it which was on it when I purchased it. Car includes miscellaneous parts (emblems, carb pieces, 1972 Chevrolet service manual, car cover). I would say the car has excellent potential for someone who wants a cruiser or to make a race car. Car will be sold to the highest bidder. Please contact me with questions that you may have.
