Vehicle Detail
1955 Pontiac Starchief Convertible Fresh, frame off restoration from a very solid car Matching numbers car 287 Cubic Inch, V8 Strato-Streak Engine, totally disassembled and rebuilt with 5 test miles on it, runs smooth and very quiet. Original automatic transmission has been overhauled too Power steering, all new Power brakes, all new All brakes redone in every aspect, lines, shoes, drums and so on No money spared to bring this beauty back to former glory and just about everything has been done or rebuilt. Color is the original Matador Red/Ivory combination, probably the most striking combination for 55 Ponchos. Two stage paint applied and fully buffed. All chrome is new and all the stainless moldings and trimmings have been fully polished All upholstery redone in leather and vinyl in a detailed stock style, as it was coming out from the factory The white ragtop is brand new and fits amazing Underneath is just as detailed as above and it shows. Totally rust free car, all bodywork has been done correctly, almost no filler applied.. The electric system is totally new and its 12V, to ensure reliability 15" WW radial tires mounted, they are brand new The engine for the ragtop is also brand new and top works up and down with ease A set of accessory rear over bumpers are mounted, to add that little chrome touch Detailed engine room that shows the clean work done Car has just been finished and it has just 5 test miles...still working little bugs out as it’s normal at this point...everything is brand new and car needs break in and a new owner to enjoy it. Please review all the pictures and call me if you have any questions. The car is brand new and doesn’t need a thing. You can drive it anywhere, no problems. The body work, paint job, interior and exterior chrome/stainless are awesome with every attention to detail taken at every step of the restoration process. I am selling this car for one of my friends who is an older, retired gentleman with an extensive classic car collection that numbers in the 50’s. This is one of about 3 cars that I will be listing for him. He has nothing but the best and as you can see from his house in the background, money is not an issue so please don’t email or call with low-ball offers. The price is firm and well worth it as the restoration cost him more than the asking price. He has homes in Laredo Texas, Guadalajara Mexico and Puerto Vallarta Mexico so he is not selling his collection for the money. Check out the pictures and you can see money was not an issue when restoring this car. He is thinning the heard as room is becoming a major issue with all the cars that he owns. I just sold a 1950 Ford Woodie of his on eBay for $56,999 if anyone wants to review the sale please check my feedback. I also just sold another 55 Pontiac Convertible (shown in last picture with the Safari, which is for sale on ebay) for $52,500 to a gentleman in Florida and received amazing feedback for that sale as well. One of his cars was recently purchased and sold by Hyman ltd classic cars for $360,000 to a gentleman in Chicago. Anyone is welcome to call Mark Hyman at Hyman ltd classics to find out more information about my friend Pepe's cars.
