2001 Audi A6 Quattro 4 door sedan. All wheel drive 2.8 liter V6 5v engine Automatic Transmission - 5 speed with Tipronic manual selector. Dual front AirBags Leather Steering wheel with radio controls on steering wheel hub. Air conditioner is cold. Plenty of power, revs freely to the red line in each gear (5 speed automatic) and at 100 mph when no traffic on the interstate. Would go faster but that was fast enough for me. Heated Seats Ski sack to allow skis to be placed in trunk thru center of rear seats hatch. 41 page 2001 Audi A6 dealer brochure Power Sunroof Power steering Power Door locks Cruise speed control CD player with cassette. Leather seats Power windows. Michelin tires are in excellent condition. Clear NH title, no liens. This is a rust free car, from Florida. $900. recent service done including timing belt replacement. Cup holder on passenger side of dash will not stay in when pushed in, always out. Small change holder compartment on driver's front door won't stay closed. Does not pass state of NH emissions testing, we have tried changing a couple of emissions components without success. Discovered the air intake hose was not connected and that may be related. Have not have it retested since correcting that 7-29-11. The right rear door window switch doesn't operate the window, needs a replacement switch for the R/R door. Operates normally from the driver's door switch. The remote mirrors do not operate from the joystick on the center console. ABS light is on in the dashboard display and I cannot say why it is on. I have seen the 2001 A6 range in price from $2500 to $12000 on ebay depending on the condition. This car is in very good condition body wise except for the odometer not displaying properly and not passing emissions testing. Odometer display not reading. Last odometer reading taken when car purchased January 2010 at 132,611 miles. We purchased this Audi for my son to take to college, while he was still in high school. Then after taking it to the local high school for several months, the LCD odometer reading started to become segmented and not reading all the numbers, eventually not reading at all. The dealer wants $1200. to replace the entire dash cluster assembly, and we decided to sell the car as it is instead. A rebuilt unit has been seen for $400. In the group of photobucket photos below, the fifth photo shows a picture of the LCD display when it began showing a problem displaying the segments properly on 7-31-11. Now it doesn't display at all. A software called "Vag-Com" which is often used by independent Audi repair shops can plug into the OBD-II port and read the actual odometer reading on a laptop computer and can shed light on the emissions issues.
