Finish this bus yourself and you will have a beautiful very solid southern California VW worth alot of money! This is a southern California VW Westfalia and is basically rust free and is very nice. No metal work was needed on the body. This is a pop top Westy with the yellow vinyl interior. We have almost everything for the bus in storage. Included with the sale is the fiberglass pop top, luggage rack, camper interior, front seats, head lights, tail lights, side marker lights, door handles, all glass, side camper windows, and other parts that we have for the bus. Why pay $20,000.00 for a fully restored westy when you can do it your self for a fraction of the cost! This 1968 Westfalia was found in sunny dry southern California 4 years ago on TheSamba.com by a customer of ours and was then purchased for the sum of $5800 then shipped to the east coast at a cost of $1200 to under go a full restoration. As you can see in the pictures it was sent to the body shop and was painted its factory vw paint color Lotus White. Cost for the repaint was $1800.00 This project was then put aside and never completed! The owner has since lost interest and funds to finish this project! So it must be sold to re coupe the funds spent on this project! Total spent so far is $8800!!!! The owners loss is your gain! This will be sold to the highest bidder! I think the pictures speak for them selves! This is your chance to own that very nice restored daily driver for a fraction of the cost of finished VW's on the internet today! This beautiful partially restored, 1968 VW Westfalia Camper is a true survivor in amazing condition! This VW comes with a 1600cc engine that is in the bus and was running when parked. You will need to buy window rubber, tires, door panels, canvas top, seat upholstery, and other miscellaneous parts to complete this project! The paint has a few runs that will need to be sanded and buffed out. I will include a picture of another bus we restored a few years ago so you can see what the interior looks like that comes with this camper. Please keep in mind that this is an older vehicle and it is not new. You may have to service or repair small things. You can expect normal wear and tear and anything else that may come with a used, 43 year old vehicle.
