Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1967 Triumph Chopper. It has a 650 Bonneville motor in a molded rigid frame with springer front end. This is a true old school chopper. There is nothing on the bike that doesn't need to be. It has no turn signals, horn, guages etc. It has a magneto with battery eliminator kit, twin Amal carbs, rear drum, Z bar handle bars, and King and Queen seat with sissy bar. Recent work includes: The oil lines, fuel lines and wiring were replaced (Cavis tubing and Oetiker clamps were used for the oil lines. Electrical harness was redone with W crimp terminals, heatshrink and Thermo-flex sleeve). The carbs were also cleaned and rebuilt, plug wires replaced with solid core wires ,and all fluids changed. The original rectangular headlight was swapped out for the current style. The bulb should be swapped for a 6volt as it now has a 12volt bulb on a 6 volt system and is dim. The original rectangular headlight along with a sparto style taillight, twisted rod highway bars, and a few other parts will be included. This is a vintage British bike so it does have some slight oil leaks and could use some more tuning, dialing in and detail work. Also it does not currently have a kickstand. It broke on the previous owner and has never been replaced. I have a wooden box that fits perfectly under the peg. Should not be a big deal to either weld or clamp on a new one. The bike is in nice shape overall a real head turner. It starts easily, runs good and is a great vintage bike. I don't have time or room for it anymore so it has to go. I have attached a lot of detailed pictures so please review them all, ask any questions, and be sure you know what you're bidding on (this is not a bike for the faint of heart or beginner) Thank you and good luck!
