I am proud to offer this VERY EARLY PRODUCTION BARN FIND 1969 PRODUCTION TRIUMPH TR-6 – ALL NUMBERS MATCH ! 1969 was the FIRST YEAR for a TR6 and the most sought after model! For 43 detailed photos, INCLUDING DETAILE PHOTOS FROM UNDERNEATH - please see the link below: http://s241.photobucket.com/albums/ff280/MITYMINIS/TRIUMPH%20TR6/ The Chassis # is: CC/27189-L and titled as a 1970 TRIUMPH TR6 The TR6 was introduced in January, 1969, using similar chassis and running gear components to those used in the TR5/TR250. However, the body work, while retaining some elements of the TR5/TR250 design, was externally restyled by Karmann. Apart from smoothing the lines of the car, the design changes also gave the car more boot space. A front anti-roll bar now formed part of the specification and wider wheels were also fitted making the car look low, lean and very fast - which, of course, it was, courtesy of the TR5/TR250 smooth 6-cylinder inline 2498cc engine. A useful option on the TR6 was the one piece detachable steel hardtop which easily converted the car to a neat sports coupe. I needs to be painted in the ORIGINAL JASMINE (yellow) color as per the British Heritage Trust Certificate It begs to be restored to factory new as when fully restored it will be worth OVER $ 30,000 dollars! This was my intention to give it a ground up restoration to factory specs but I am so busy building MINIS that I will not get to it and I would like to see this car fully restored to factory specs! MECHANICS Runs & drives excellent! Perfect daily driver! Starts easily and runs smoothly! Does NOT smoke and the compression is within 5 degrees in all 6 cylinders In fact, I drove this TR6 recently on a 6 hour trip without a single hitch! Despite its UGLY paint - it runs and drives very strong and is a lot of fun to drive! INTERIOR – ALMOST NEW!
