1974 Jensen Healey with Corvette V8 THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION No matter the price, the highest bid at auction close wins! The body is original, all steel except the fiberglass hood scoop and is 100% rust free. The paint is original black with very good shine. The top and boot are original and in excellent condition. The back plastic window is soft and pliable but it has yellowed. The radio has been removed and has not been replaced. The engine conversion included stiffer front springs and handles the extra weight. The car starts and drives great. The steering is very light, fast and the car handles very well. The records indicate the Chevy conversion was done prior to 1982 by the original owner who died in 1982. The family donated the Jensen to a charity in California in 2004. The Charity sold the Jensen to a collector in New Jersey in early 2005. I purchased the Jensen in September 2005, knowing it had been in storage for the past 29 years and with the intent of finishing the project into a super fast, prize-winning, show car. My first jobs were to replace the brakes, add new Dunlop SP40 tires, and replace all the instruments with top of the line VDO gauges. Shortly thereafter, my employer transferred me to their manufacturing plant in Shenzhen China. The Jensen was stored at my home in Rio Rico, Arizona for the following five years. When I retired I had the Jensen moved to my home in Missouri, where it has been ever since. Note - all records are available. Upon reaching the age of 76, I have lost interest in finishing the project and hope to find someone capable of finishing the Jensen to its full potential. The projects that I know need finishing are, the TH350 automatic transmission has a small leak. The VDO fuel sender needs to be installed in the fuel tank, I have the part. The radiator is small and may need replacing with a larger one or a bigger set of fans. The VDO speedometer transducer needs to be installed in the transmission, I have the transducer. This is still a big project and may have unknown issues that I have not found. I feel sure the effort will result in a very rewarding car for its owner when finished. The Jensen will start and drive, although the cooling system should be addressed before driving very far. It is always best to personally inspect any car being sold on eBay and I encourage you to inspect and drive the car prior to the end of this auction. Payment: A deposit of $500, made via PayPal, is required within 24 hours of auction close. The remaining balance will be accepted through wire transfer, cashier's check from a United States bank, or cash prior to pick up and within 5 days of auction close. Shipping: The vehicle will need to be picked up in Gravois Mills, Missouri (65037). The buyer will be responsible for pick up / shipping of the vehicle and all costs associated with such. I have sold more than a few vehicles on eBay and would be happy to assist you and/or your shipper - but again, shipping costs are NOT included in this auction.
