This is a first year RE5 in excellent running condition. I was planning on keeping this bike for a long time but, unfortunately due to financial situation I have to sell. I have owned this bike for about 3 years and never had a single issue with it. Starts easily and runs strong. With the help of Rotary Recycle I was able to repair or replace some cosmetic items that the previous owner had neglected. Mechanically it is in excellent condition. It does have the common mid-throttle dead spot, however it is not severe. Does not leak a drop, kept this parked in my living room on white carpet during the winters. Tires are new and plenty of tread. Seat has been professionally recovered with an original seat cover. All guages, indicators and lights work. The exhaust is in excellent condition, not a spot of rust that I can find, and includes the rare tip extensions, although I do not have the muffler inserts for them. Cosmetically, this bike is in very good condition, although not perfect. As I mentioned, the chrome is in excellent condition. There is one flaw that I could find on the rear fender as shown in a photo. The PO also decided at some point to "modify" the sidecovers. I have done my best to repair that but there are 4 small holes drilled in each for brackets, I have not tried to fill those holes as I do not have any touch up paint. There is one small dent on each side of the fuel tank, although as you can see in the pictures that they are almost invisible. Aluminum cases are in good shape, I have not done any polishing for these photos. I have never had to crate a bike and would prefer that this was local pick up only, however, if need be contact me before the end of the auction and I am happy to work with you.
