1965 Volkswagen Split-Window Bus 1965 Volkswagen Split-Window Bus. Located in Durham, NC. Very original condition. Completely reliable - engine, transmission, gear-reduction boxes, brakes and wheel bearings have all recently been rebuilt. Virtually no rust (lived a good bit of its life in the dry west). Includes middle seat (not shown) and seat belts all around. Middle seat, like the rear seat, is from a bay window Bus. It is in similar condition to the rear one pictured. I didn't get a chance to tidy up the Bus before I took pictures - you'll see all the usual flotsam and jetsam of daily life with kids. This is our daily driver and it is totally reliable and totally cool! I'm selling simply because I want the comforts of a newer vehicle (A/C, nice paint, etc.) and I don't want to screw up this beautiful Bus. Please contact me if you have any questions. Thank you!
