Vehicle Detail

1965 Corvette Coupe with numbers matching 365 H.P engine, 4-speed Muncie transmission, 3.70-differential and factory air. This car had been in storage for over 30 years and then went through a total frame off restoration in 2009 that included many new parts and re-build of all others. The restoration was done to NCRS standards. Since then I have made some updates including updating the points and condenser distributor with electronic ignition, new spark plug wire, (I have OEM Packard spark plug wire set that are included with the car), new fuel tank and sending unit, new battery, rear main seal, valve cover gaskets, new AC hoses with pressure fittings, and conversion of the AC system from R12 to R134A. The car is code correct with Nassau Blue paint with Black interior and aside from AC is also equipped with power brakes. The picture of the engine pad is not completely in focus, it ends in “..0423HK”. This car starts and runs strong, shifts smoothly and runs cool. I just drove it 350 miles in one day 3 weeks ago and it ran like a top. The AC blows cold, all instrumentation including the clock works. Current mileage shows as 60,000 – no evidence that this is original but it’s plausible given the amount of time the car was in storage. The paint is an 8 out of 10 with two small chips on the side of the hood. When the restoration was complete they forgot to put the corvette emblem plate on the rear of the car – it was six months after I bought the car that I noticed but decided I liked the clean look on the rear of the car. If you want to add a show quality nameplate for the rear of the car they are $50. Some nitpicks with the car: I don’t do much night driving but have noticed that two of lights that illuminate the fan and air knobs are burned out, the right front turn signal is burned out as well, and the speedometer registers about 10mph slower than actual speed (e.g. shows 50mph but actual speed is 60mph). Car has never been driven in the rain since its restoration. Overall, a very high quality driver that gets thumbs up at cruise nights and awards at local car shows. With some attention to detail it could easily be ready for NCRS judging. I have a clear, Nevada title for the car. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Car is sold as is where is. Buyer is responsible for pick-up/shipping. Not interested in any trades. Happy bidding.
