This is an above average condition 1981 Volkswagen Rabbit Truck equipped with the 1.6L Diesel engine paired with a 5 speed manual transmission. This truck has had a paint job and is in overall good shape with a gloss finish. This is not a $5000 show car paint job, but looks great and has a nice shine. There are some signs of light over spray on some moldings and under the hood of the truck. This is a rust free southern truck, but does have some light filler where dents were repaired. The windshield does have a small crack on the passenger side out of visible range of the driver and has not spread since in possession. The undercarriage of the truck is solid with no signs of rust as well as the frame horns and strut towers. In addition to the recent paint job the truck also received new OE taillights. All lights and signals function properly as well as all other electrical components. This truck starts well with no sighs of excess smoking and pulls down the road with proper power. The truck has the factory steel wheels with chrome beauty rings and brand new tires. The interior of the truck is also in above average condition. The seats have no rips in them, dash has minimal cracking, carpet is clean, just showing a little wear and door cards are intact but have been modified and had the grills glued into them. The headliner does need to be replaced. The drive train on this truck is solid. It drives straight down the road without excessive vibrations or noises. It does have properly functioning cold AC in the truck as well as heat. It received a thorough inspection here at MF Auto, Inc. All major components checked, and what needed to be replaced to bring the car up to date on maintenance has been completed using high quality OE parts.
