Vehicle Detail
1974 F250 Crewcab 4X4 Highboy Mechanically Perfect !!!! Southwest truck with a near perfect body. I have had this truck for 9 years. I am the third owner, I believe the milage is actual at 77,500 miles. It was in great shape when I got it and has only gotten better. It has been reworked but not a full restoration. It didn’t need it. THERE IS NO RUST ON THIS TRUCK! 360 C.I. V8 4 speed DANA 60’s FRONT AND BACK!!!! Pretty much all original but does have: Headers Dual exhaust.....but is not loud, factory quiet. Receiver hitch but has never been used for towing. New fold away Gooseneck hitch that has never been used. All body mounts and cab corners are solid with fresh rubber! Body is solid and straight and all metal. No door sag, no shakes, no rattles. Truck has only been driven about 500 miles a year since I have had it so everything following has been done in the last 3000 miles New Radiator New Belts and Hoses All wheel seals, bearings replaced All U joints have been replaced New Centerforce Heavy Duty Clutch New throw out bearing Transfer case was removed, cleaned and inspected...it was perfect. All fluid boxes opened, cleaned, inspected...all were perfect Lockout hubs were removed, cleaned and inspected..work perfect Both fuel tanks were removed, cleaned and inspected. New Brake Pads New Gas Shocks New Cab and Bed rubber mounts New Parking Brake Cable New Heater Core Vintage Sound AM/FM/Cass/ Satelite /MP3 radio looks like old radio Tires 4k miles New Door Weather Stripping New Headliner New Door Panels New Seat covers, the front has a real wool back...seats are firm and comfortable New Rear sliding window New Windshield New Carpet Fresh tune up with new dist. cap, points, rotor, plugs, plug wires, air filter and fresh Royal Purple oil. Interior is really nice. Steering wheel has the usual two cracks on the spokes Dash is real nice...the Silver square on the dash is Sterling Silver depicting our ranch brand. Dashpad is cracked but has new cover. Exterior has no dents. I use this truck for getting grain and errands so the paint has a few scratches, I’d rate it at a 5 of 10 the paint is 7 years old. Heavy Bed mat..bed is lightly used Diamond Plate Bed Rails Chrome Wheel Trim adds just a touch of bling. The engine compartment is not detailed but it is clean. The engine is very clean, no globs of grease and crap..the paint on the block has peeled off in some places. Cons: About 5 years ago a tree limb fell and dented the roof. I was worried about working the roof out too high and used some filler in a 12”x7” area. Over the years the New Mexico sun caused the filler to crack and lift a bit. It is now sealed with silicone to prevent moisture getting under it. You don’t see it unless you are up high enough to look down on the roof but to be perfect it should be addressed. The tailgate is not perfect. From straight on it looks good but from the side you can see some wavers in it. It opens and closes fine. Rock chips along the rocker panels. I live at the end of a fast 12 mile gravel road. This truck is true and solid, starts with a touch of the key. I would not hesitate to drive this truck anywhere! I know this truck top to bottom and will always be around for questions. If you have less than 5 positive feedback I will cancel your bid.
