Vehicle Detail

This is a 1974 Pontiac LeMans Sport Coupe. I bought this car in 2004 with 31,049 on the odometer (assuming 131,049) from California and traced it back to Arizonia. The odometer shows 32,204 miles and I assume that is turned over and it is actually 132, 204. I drove this car about 500 miles the first 2 years and then started rebuilding it. Since the engine and transmission were rebuilt, I have only put on about 600 miles. This car has been garage kept since the fist day I have bought it. First I pulled out the original 350 Engine and replaced it with a new fresh built 400 out of a 1968 - 1969 GTO. Block casting number is "9790071" series "YB" (look it up on line, its a good one). I replaced the Cam and lifters with a Clevite Part number 229-2134. Cam Intake Duration@.050" 224 and exhaust at 224. SAE duration for Intake and Exhaust is 300. Lobe Speed 108. Valve lash .436 for Intake and Exhaust. Cam lift .291 for intake and exhaust. Engine was bored out to 30 thousands oversized and I believe the crank in 10 thousands undersize on rods and mains. All new Gaskets, Freeze Plugs, Seals, Bearings, Pistons, Rings, Valves and a high volume oil pump. Also new water pump, hoses, belts and electronic ignition distributor The exhaust is a custom exhaust that is a true dual exhaust that dumps just before the rear alxe. The exhaust consist of hooker headers, hooker mufflers and custom bent pipes. The carburator is a Holley 770. I am not a carb guy by any stretch of the mind but I think it still needs some fine tuning. I was resently told the carb may be too big for the engine The transmission was also rebuilt by a local shop. I added a slight shift kit to it. Really need to change the rear end gears to get the full effect of it! A new drive shaft was also intalled. The interior was white when I got the car. Being from Arizonia it was all dry rotted. I had a local shop in Kansas City totally redo the interior. This shop does not use cover kits but custom makes all the interior. The used the old seat frames and foam and recovers the front beanch seat, rear seat and both door panels. They made a new headliner for it (you can see I have never replaced the dome light). The old carpet was removed and replaced with new. Finally the dash was repaired and a customer cover made for it (If I did not tell you it was a custom cover you would never know. This is not a removeable cover). Last year the paint and body was done. I was shocked when I got the pictures that show there was only a slight hole (about the size of a quarter) in the drivers quarter panel. This was cut out and replaced with steel. The person doing the work on the car said he was amazed how great the body was once the paint was removed. Said he could not see anywhere on the body where he could say there was any major repairs. The paint on this car is amazing. New Vinyl top as well One too many toys so this one has to go. Car has been kept in Garage since rebuild. Serious inquiries only This car is also for sale locally and auction can be discontinued by seller anytime before the reserve is hit. Once the reserve is hit, I would not cancel. The car is located in Gardner Kansas (about 30 miles South of Kansas City). Full payment must be made within 7 and car picked up in 14 days from end of auction. Payments must be money order, cash or paypal only. This car is sold as is with no warranties. Feel free to contact me on my cell at 913-558-9778.
