Vehicle Detail
Alright folks....last chance. I'm listing my car with NO RESERVE!!! GOOD LUCK!!! 1979 Chevy Malibu This car is a blast to drive. Gets looks everywhere I go and the 327 pulls all day long. Its been my own project for the past year now. Here's what I've done to it..... Freshly rebuilt 327 Turbo 350 trans New Edelbrock 650 carb Comp Cams 302 cam (Nice lumpy idle) Summit Aluminum heads Roller rockers Hooker long tube headers Canton coolant overflow tank Summit vacuum booster (power brakes were too hard due to the lack of vacuum by the large cam and single plane intake) MSD Street Fire Spark plug wires Summit Distributor Edelbrock Chrome Valve covers and air filter housing Brand new Battery (purchased last month) Remote power door locks Hurst Pro-Matic 2 Ratchet Shifter New carpet Custom sewn classic channel style seats New dash Overlay (previous one was cracked on the top) Chevelle emblems (Malibu) and Steering wheel New turn signal cancel cam Speedo needle Autogage Tach with shift light Sunpro mini gauges (volts, oil press, water temp) New weatherstripping Door Hinges (all 4 were replaced. Old ones were completed rounded out and causing doors to sag. Shut nicely now!) Rear sail panels This car is also for sale locally. If it sells, the auction will end early. Some other details....its been lowered in the front 2" and the rear 1.5", flowmaster 40 series mufflers. All the exhaust work professionally done (includes a crossover pipe). Also has 3.73 gears in the back. Front disk brakes, drums in the rear. Tires are still good. As for the paint job, it was sprayed with high build primer, block sanded with 400 grit. This is a straight, rust free car. Final stages were sealer, 3 coats of Danube Blue Metallic and 3 coats of clear. I let it sit for about a week, then wet sanded it with 1000, 1500, 2000 and buffed it with a wool pad and 3M compound. Finally a foam pad and 3M swirl mark remover to get it glass smooth. This is a turn key Malibu. Get in it and cruise.
