1986 Honda ATC 250SX

This is a great machine and looking for a new home. It was last registered and ridden in 2009. I stopped riding it when the right foot peg bolts broke and never got around to fixing it. I’ve started it up periodically and driven up and down driveway just to keep it fresh. The description section in the ebay listing had either manual clutch or automatic. It is the centrifugal clutch (not the manual hand clutch). Engine is strong, does not smoke. Maintenance-free shaft drive. Carburetor is working well except choke cable is stuck (in the regular not engaged position) Muffler in great shape. Frame in excellent condition. Rear shock works great. Clarke plastic OEM gas tank with Honda reproduction graphics. The original metal gas tank had some pin holes in it, but was sold separately recently. Front tire has about 80% tread life left. Comes with original key and spare key made by Honda dealer. Rides and drives straight. Gets between 30 to 40 MPG. Comes with bill of sale. No title or origin certificate. Here is what needs replacing or adjustment: 2 new rear tires (current ones have dry rot, but have almost 100% tread depth) Right one holds air fine, left one loses air almost completely after filled. Both right foot peg bolts need to be extracted from frame (or just weld foot peg to frame) The 2 bolts broke. Front and rear brakes need adjustment and may need new brakes shoes. New front fork seals needed. Needs new battery. Starter worked fine when battery worked. Kick start works fine. Headlight works as long as engine running (so don’t need new battery unless you want electric start). This ATV is sold "as is". If you have a feedback rating of less then 5, please contact me.
