Vehicle Detail
Up for bid is my 1995 Eddie Bauer Edition 2WD F150 that has had a 2002 Mustang 4.6L 2V engine and T45 5 Speed transmission transplanted into it. This has been a huge project for me. I am tired of looking at it so I have decided to offer it for sale. The truck is a 2 owner vehicle that started its life in California. It spent a few years in North Carolina before I brought it up to Maine in 2005. It has NEVER been driven in the salt. It is absolutely rust free and looks fantastic for a 16 year old vehicle. I pulled the original 300 straight six and automatic transmission when the truck had 77K miles on it. I dropped in a 30,000 mile 4.6 Liter V-8 and 5 speed transmission from a 2002 Mustang GT. The engine is controlled by a MegaSquirt engine management computer and runs smooth as silk. There is so much involved in this project that I can't even begin to describe it all here. Here are some highlights: 77K Mile 95 2WD F150 30,000 Mile Mustang GT 4.6 2V V-8 and 5 Spd. transmission Hurst short throw shifter Custom Hydraulic Clutch SPEC Stage One Clutch Aluminum Crown Vic Police Interceptor Driveshaft MegaSquirt fully programmable engine management system (EMS is programmed through a laptop so if you don't have one you may want to think about getting a cheap one.) Custom 3 inch exhaust with Flowmaster muffler and catalytic converter 42 Lbs. Ford racing fuel injectors Moroso coolant and oil line relocation kit for 4.6 Ford engines Crown Vic police interceptor aluminum driveshaft High flow thermostatically controlled electric fan Innovate LC-1 Wideband 02 sensor New Battery this Spring 4 New BF Goodrich tires with less than 2000 miles on them There is A LOT I am leaving out here. These are just some of the custom parts and pieces on this truck. I am not selling this truck as a daily driver. While it has been fun and reliable for me it really is more of a project vehicle. You will need to have some "tinkering" skills with a vehicle like this. You could just buy it and part it out and make good money doing that. The Buy It Now of $3500 is less than HALF of what I have in it. My hope is that this truck will go to someone who will use it. There are a few minor issues. 1. The factory instrument cluster does not work. Only the fuel gauge and voltage gauge operate. This is because the factory computer is no longer hooked up. It is still in the truck but not powered. Therefore the speedometer, tach, and oil pressure gauge are inoperative. That include the odometer as well. 2. While there are heater controls for AC there is NO air conditioning in the truck. 3. There is a small chip in the windshield. 4. There is a scratch on the right hand side of the bed about the size of a dime the is showing a bit of surface rust, there are some small scratches on the drivers fender as well but not through to bare metal. Overall this thing is awesome and is easily worth the asking price just for parts value. There is NO rust at all that is anything more than the dime sized bit of surface rust mentioned above. This truck is 100% solid. But again, it really is a project due to the engine and engine management computer. You will need a laptop and at least some basic computer skills if you want to do any kind of user programming on the EMS. I will be glad to help the buyer in regards to programming fuel and ignition maps. It is not hard, the truck already has great maps but I can assist in learning to tweak them. I have a clean Maine title in hand and the truck is ready to be driven away from my house today. This truck could be all kinds of different things. It would make an awesome Gen1 Lightning clone. It could be turned into a killer drag truck. It could be a daily driver. Or whatever else you can think of! . I still have the original 300 I6 and automatic transmission. The factory computer is still in place and you could potentially drop the original motor and trans back if you wanted to. If someone uses the Buy It Now feature I will include them in the price. Otherwise they will be sold separately. My reserve price is WELL below the Buy It Now price. Thanks for looking and please ask any questions before bidding.
