Exceptional 1975 Honda 550F. Beatiful original motorcycle. As the saying goes if you are looking for a nice vintage Honda CB 550F and you find one better than this one "BUY IT" The pictures pretty much show the condition of the Honda They were taken after a morning ride on August 6, 2011. The good: Registered in Colororado with current plates a real Colorado titile in my name. Tires and wire wheels are good to very good, lights all work including turn signals, brake light high and low beam headlight, on/off switch and of course the noise maker for when the turn signals are on.Owners manual under the seat in its keeper, tool kit under the seat, electric starter that works very well, new battery with new trickle charger wired in, good brakes disc up front, drum rear, excellent rubber, seat like new with good padding, Several repair manuals and a full cover go with the bike. Small considerations: Tank has a dent, really more like a crease in the upper right. Don't know when or how it happened. The paint on the tank is very good even over the dent/crease and rubbed where the seat fits over it. The side covers paint and plastic are in very good condition. The handlebars are not pitted but just not brilliant. Most other chrome is good to very good. What you really need to know. The motor is strong and easly runs out to the 75 mph Interstate speed limits here in Colorado. It shifts thru the 5 gears as it should up or down with or without using the clutch. The display lights on the fork head all work. It starts without problem if ridden frequently. The choke works well. The clutch will become sticky if it sits for a while without being ridden. I rode the bike today and everything worked as it should. No real issues that I know of. . Everything about this motorcycle would indicate that it has been well maintained over the last 36 plus years. The gas tank appears to have been coated. There are no oil or gas leaks.
