Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 1968 Buick Wildcat with less than 29,000 original miles. I haven't had the car long, but have it up for auction due to a series of unexpected expenses and a new baby. The car has a 430 big block engine and Turbo 400 transmission. I have changed the transmission fluid, oil, and differential fluid and installed a new heater core and exhaust Y pipe in the past year. The rest of the exhaust has been replaced before and is in great shape. Car has no A/C but has optional rear defroster. Everything works except the clock. The car drives and stops great. Tires are in great condition. All brake and fuel lines appear to have been replaced before I got the car and are in terriffic condition. The original, unused spare and jack are in the trunk. The vinyl top is in flawless condition with no bubbling anywhere underneath. The interior is perfect. There is no rust through anywhere, and the car wears its original paint which has only been touched up. There are a few dings on the car; the only major being the front of the passender front fender and driver lower door. There is only one spot where paint is bubbling which is on the front of the lower driver rear door. There is only surface rust underneath. Most chrome is perfect - there is only some very minor deterioration on rear fender skirt trim, taillight housings, a couple of the wheels, and 2 little spots on top flat surface of rear bumper. See all these pictures and at least 40 more at: http://s254.photobucket.com/albums/hh89/lancemb/1968%20Buick%20Wildcat/ There are no pressing needs that I am aware of; the only minor things that I'd do as time permits are replace window felt weatherstripping at front of passenger front door where it meets the vent window (is torn) and repair one taillight socket in trunk that has broken tab and is loose. You are welcome to (and I encourage you to) come and see the car in person prior to bidding. You can call me at 586-260-8993 Car is sold AS-IS. My description is accurate as far as I know. Please bid according to personal inspection and pictures with guidance of description. Ask any questions before bidding. Deposit of $500 must be received within 3 days of auction's end. Car must be picked up within 2 weeks of auction's end unless otherwise agreed prior to the end of the auction. I'll accept cash in person (deposited in person), cashier check (verified first), or direct bank transfer for the remainder.
