Vehicle Detail
Yes, here it is again, thanks to a successful bidder who thought that when you click on the "Confirm Bid" button that you really don`t have to buy it. So after two weeks of trying to get in touch with them. to get any kind of response to my emails to see if they were even alive, and finally filing an item not paid case against them still with no response, here it is again. It will not be listed again after this, so don`t wait for the price to get any lower. Here we have a blue and white 1988 Ford F250 pickup truck with a blue interior. I bought it from my father, and it had a bedliner in it when he got it, that is why the bottom of the bed has some rot, the sides of the bed and tailgate are very solid. My father had added the steps for both doors, he`s 82 and couldn`t quite manage getting in and out easily by himself anymore. There is a little rust under the doors and by the wheel wells as you can see in the pictures, the cab and both doors are very solid. It does need a passenger side door window. The tire tread is fair and still has some life left to them, and underneath it is solid. The engine is a 5.8 liter fuel injected, and since I got the truck last year, I`ve serviced the transmission, and replaced the fuel filter, spark plugs, plug wires, complete distributor, ignition module, ignition coil, fuel pressure regulator, starter, and I have a new air manifold and check valve for the right side exhaust manifold, it just needs to be put on. My father had a new fuel pump put in the front tank (yes, it has two fuel tanks) and all new brakes installed little over a year ago. The four wheel drive works, and it has front locking hubs. There is a small exhaust leak at the right side manifold. It does have a problem, last fall when it was warm I got the truck and started fixing it up and it wasn`t until late December until I got it on the road. It ran great last winter, doesn`t smoke, always starts easy, I took it to New Hampshire on a 6 hour round trip with no problems. As soon as the weather got warmer and temps outside got into the 40`s and 50`s, the engine would quit on me, but usually start right back up. I found that as the air temps got warmer, the worse it ran. I know that mechanically it is in very good condition since it ran so well last winter with no problems, I`ve done all I know about with it and now I just want a decent pickup that I don`t have to work on. It probably just needs a sensor or something simple, my father says that it always ran well for himbefore he parked it for a few months until I got it. I`m not an expert on modern fuel injection systems, if someone had access to a diagnostic computer, they could probably pinpoint the problem, but I`m tired of fooling with it, plus I want a 1/2 ton truck instead. It is a good heavy duty solid truck, it would be a super truck once the bad sensor or whatever is replaced, or just keep it for cold weather operation. It is located in Manchester, CT 06042. Payment can be paypal or cash upon pickup, it has a good clear title which I will sign over to the winning bidder when they come to pick it up. It is being sold AS IS with no warranties or guarranties on it. It isn`t a new truck, but I`ve stated everything I know about it. This will be a good heavy work truck for somebody!
