I BOUGHT THIS EL CAMINO AND WHEN I BROUGHT IT HOME MY WIFE HATED IT AND AFTER A LOOOOONG, LOOOOONG DISCUSSION I DECIDED IT'S GOTTA GO TO AVOID ANY MORE ARGUMENTS. SO HERE'S A 1979 EL CAMINO WITH A PERFECTLY STRAIGHT BODY, NO RUST, NO DAMAGE ON THE EXTERIOR ONLY A VERY SMALL DENT ON THE HOOD. ORIGINAL RIMS, STARTS UP WITH NO PROBLEMS, NO SMOKE FROM REAR EXHAUST, SHIFTS VERY WELL AND DRIVES STRAIGHT, ENGINE SOUNDS GREAT, NO STRANGE NOISES WHAT SO EVER. THIS IS A GREAT CLASSIC CAR IN NEED OF A LOVING HOME.THE INTERIOR NEEDS WORK, SOME RIPS IN THE UPHOLSTRY AND THE DASH HAS SOME DAMAGE TO THE BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER AT THE STEREO. On Aug-08-11 at 09:23:16 PDT, seller added the following information: P.S. engine size is 305, just put a new battery in it and cleaned it up and it cleaned up very nicely!! starts right up, now that its been in the drive way a few days I've noticed no oil spots or leaks even after a 30 minute ride around the city. the AC does not blow cold but air does come out strong. The power steering is awesome only takes one finger to turn. The inside door handles do not work from the inside. I am planning on having the entire vehicle detailed inside and out including the engine compartment.
