1949 Chevy 4400 12 ft stake body truck. The stake body has all good wood as pictures will show. It has the original 6 cyl 4 speed manual that with one or two cranks fires right up with no smoke, knocks, or misses. The gears all shift good and the clutch is good. The truck was sitting for over a year when I bought it and I did not want to run it with bad gas, so I hooked up a 2 gallon auxillary tank. If you need a new gas tank, they cost $135 and I can point you in the right direction if it does need a tank. I put new points, plugs, coil ,and battery, hit the key and it started right up. The only thing I can see that would be an issue is that the master cylinder should be replaced as the brakes need to be pumped up to stop the truck. (could be leaky lines or wheel cylinders.) For that reason, if this truck would be driven home, you should put a master cylinder and brake lines to make it road worthy for a trip. I had this truck up to 50 mph and it handled straight and tight. ( will load on trailer with no problem.) This truck was owned by a farmer in southwest minnesota. We bought it in a package deal and it does not fit my collection of classic trucks and cars. It is original paint and with a good wash and wax it will shine very nice. As the pictures and video will show it has very minimal rust. The doors open and shut with no sagging and are very solid. All of the glass is good besides the passenger side window having a few small cracks. The windows go up and down good. The lights and guages and blinkers work as video shows. It is unmolested and still a 6 volt system. This truck comes with a clean and current minnesota title with matching numbers. I do not want to overcall or undercall this truck, but I want to assure you that this is a very clean unmolested classic truck that will make someone a fantastic driver, work truck, collector truck, or show truck.
