up for sale is a 1965 chevy impala ss convertible. The car is regal red with a white top and black interior. The car is complete but needs restoration. I bought it sight unseen and when it arrived I realized it needs more work than I am capable of doing or having done. The body: has rust/rot on lower panels (front and rear) including wheel well lips; needs floor and trunk pans. The interior was removed (except rear seat) by previous owner to begin floor replacement which never happened but the interior is with the car and appears complete: bucket seats, ss console, door panels, handles, etc... no carpet. There is a box with a new bushing kit with bolts in the trunk, and the car has ss hubcaps but is missing one. The front bumper is off but goes with the car (previous owner took it off to be able to move/tow the car in and out of his garage). The convertible top looks ok but has two small rips (1-3inch and 1-1inch) on the passenger side in the rear, missing rear window and top needs to be cleaned. The top motor works and the bows look good. the dash looks good and no cracks. Was an a/c car. The motor is a 283, told it is the original drivetrain, with a powerglide tranny. The motor turns over easy by hand but has not been started in a while. All the glass looks good. The frame looks solid other than surface rust. The previous owner had owned and stored the car for over twenty years before I got it. I have a clear title, the car will have to be towed as it needs to be restored or used for parts. Sold as is. Also, I checked the vin# code and it is a true ss, made in Flint Michigan with a v8 and convertible top. Vin tags are on car and match the title. Please call me at 716-680-2182 with questions.
