Vehicle Detail
For Sale today is a 1966 Ford F-100 Short Bed Pickup Truck. This Truck is Medium Blue in color with a blue interior. The truck was originally purchased by me in 2004 in Georgia. It has a DSO of Charlotte, NC so it has been a southern truck it's whole life. I drove the truck up unitl 2006 when the transmission gave out. It has been sitting inside of my garage ever since. This truck DOES NOT run and would have to be towed to its new home. The original engine was a 240 Inline 6. At some point, that engine was removed and replaced with a 1976 Ford 351W V-8. The engine ran great up until I parked it. It did not have any problems. All of the gauges inside worked excellent, the radio worked along with the two speakers placed beneath the bench seat. The Master Cylinder was replaced in 2005 along with the front brakes being totally re-done. Also new tires were put on the truck in 2005, but it has been sitting since late 2006, so tires need to be checked. The truck has dual exhaust but there is a hole in the passenger side muffler. Like I said the transmission needs to be rebuilt/replaced. The transmission is C-4 automatic with the shifter in the column. As far as the body, there is surface rust. The cab corners are there and have a little surface rust and that's it. The only rust through is near the front of the bed on the passenger side. I have included a picture to try and show it. Also the trim on the driver's door broke off sometime ago and would have to replaced. The tailgate opens and closed with no problems, same with the doors. Both doors have their original locks and they both work great. The truck has the standard heater which worked fine when last used. This truck would make an excellent parts truck for your F-100 or would be an easy restoration project. The only problem is the vehicle DOES NOT have a title. I bought it without one in Georgia and drove it around. I never got the truck registered in Texas, so I didn't deal with their process over here. So you would have to work on trying to get one or just using it without one. This vehicle is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early in case of a private sale. The truck is located in Dallas, Texas. Any other questions, please ask, and good luck bidding!!!
