Vehicle Detail
70 miles since new, original owner from 2003, ST1300 Honda sport-touring motorcycle, factory locking saddlebags, totally stock original condition, no flaws except that I had to order a owner's manual online because I couldn't find it. Will include the Honda owner's manual when it arrives, ordered 7-29-11 and a set of uninstalled Hot Grips brand heated grips with variable heat controller to fit it. If anyone wants other detail photos just ask and I will post them at: There are 20 photos of this motorcycle at: http://s1089.photobucket.com/albums/i350/hotgrips/2003%20Honda%20ST1300%20ABS%20motorcycle%2070%20miles%20orig/#!cpZZ3QQtppZZ8 To read more about a 2003 ST1300 go to a magazine review: http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/roadtests/2003_honda_st1300/index.html or go to: http://www.motorcycle.com/manufacturer/honda/first-ride-2003-honda-st1300-1276.html or go to: http://www.powersportsnetwork.com/enthusiasts/review_list_vehicle.asp?veh=3722 or go to: http://www.theautochannel.com/news/2003/05/13/161202.html or just do a Google Search for: 2003 Honda ST1300 ABS review and there are many other online reviews of this wonderful sport-touring model. Price out a new one, I am told they are near $17,699. See: http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/2010/honda/st1300/abs/68047/05/index.html Anti-lock ABS-II brakes Adjustable power windshield. Yes, 70 original miles is hard to believe, but I am 60 years old and I discovered when I bought the bike that it gives me back pain. So I parked it, covered it, & put the battery trickle charger on it. Also have a 1998 Honda VFR800 with 31 miles since bought new, and all of my many cars and trucks are super-low miles too. Have a total of 15 motorcycles, mostly KTM, Rokon, Can-Am, Honda, Suzuki dirt bikes. Clear Montana title, no liens, always garaged in New Hampshire. Although it started a year ago, it would not start today when I hooked up a new battery to it. The gas is apparently too old (2003) and I will work on correcting that situation and update this listing. By the way: Great price of $22.01 on a used factory Honda service manual for the 2003 ST1300. I ordered a shop manual for this bike on CD which will go with the bike, and I also bid on another Honda shop service manual for the bike so one way or the other a CD or shop hard-paper service manual will also go with the bike. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HONDA-ST1300-A-2003-2005-FACTORY-SERVICE-MANUAL-/140584614242?pt=Motors_Manuals_Literature&hash=item20bb7ef962 Have ordered new battery for it scheduled to arrive this late this afternoon 7-29-11.On Jul-30-11 at 06:05:14 PDT, seller added the following information: I removed all the old gas from the main upper tank and the lower beneath the gas tank tank, put in fresh fuel, and still won't start. A local motorcycle repair garge was nice enough to recommend removing the spark plugs, and squirting in a bit of oil to seal the piston rings better...that when a bike sits too long that often helps build up enough compression for it to start. Can any of you out there tell me if the entire fairing needs to be removed to access the spark plugs? On Jul-30-11 at 15:17:36 PDT, seller added the following information: I found the original Honda ST1300 owner's manual so that is with the bike. I removed all the old 2003 gasoline from the lower tank, repolaced with fresh fuel, and will next work on getting it started. Apparently pulling the spark plugs is a 30 minute job and I am hopeful that will enable me to start it.On Aug-03-11 at 02:53:24 PDT, seller added the following information: I have lowere4d the reserve price to $7001. so next bid meets the reserve. I am selling the bike as it, won't start. I cannot ship it so you will have to make arrangements to transport it away. On Aug-04-11 at 14:06:24 PDT, seller added the following information: NOTICE: We have brought the motorcycle to a repair shop to fix the problems that it has and the bike will be sold in running condition.
