Vehicle Detail

This is a 1969 Dodge Charger R/T clone ( not a real R/T but has a 440, R/T stripes, and badging). It has a rebuilt 440 engine with a floor (console) shift 727. Nearly every component on this car has either been rebuilt or replaced. It was originally a 383 big block car with factory air conditioning and power steering. During the restoration it was stripped down to bare metal and after rust repair, was sealed with an epoxy primer to prevent rust. Only quality filler (Evercoat Rage Gold) was used for the skim coat and quality PPG paint was used for the base / clear coat. It is painted factory R4 Charger red with a black vinyl top and a tan interior which makes for a rare and unique color combination. There are almost too many new parts to list but I will attempt to cover most of them. Rebuilt 440 with a Mopar Performance cam P4286675 (this has been a great street cam with good idle and power, great torque and surprisingly good fuel economy). The engine has approximately 1000 miles on the rebuild. New Edelbrock Performer intake New Edelbrock 750 CFM (1411) carb with electric choke New fuel and water pump Mopar Electronic ignition Hedman HTC ceramic coated headers TTI 2 ½” dual exhaust Flowmaster 50 series mufflers Rebuilt 727 transmission (with about 100 miles) with heavy duty parts and a shift kit. TCI Saturday Night Special torque converter (about 500 rpm higher than stock which works great with the cam, 3:23 gears, and weight of the vehicle. Plus it’s not too loose for street driving and doesn’t generate a lot of heat like higher stall converters) Rear end is an 8 3/4, 3:23 out of a low mileage 69 Charger with heavy duty brakes New suspension including heavy duty R/T leaf springs, torsion bars, shocks, and tubular upper control arms and bushings. New steering including tie rods, ball joints, pitman arm, idler arm, power steering gearbox and pump. Car currently has manual drum brakes which have been rebuilt. I have a Stainless Steel disc brake kit that attaches to the stock spindles. I attempted to install them but ran out of patience with their tech support so put the drums back on so I could drive it. I’ll include the kit with the vehicle so you can install it yourself if you want to take the time. With a car this fast and heavy, I would definitely plan to upgrade the brakes. Brake lines and hoses have been replaced with new. Flex-a-lite aluminum radiator with new hoses. I also have a dual electric fan setup with a SPAL controller which is not currently installed which I will also include with the car. New fuel tank and fuel lines, new fuel filler cap New wiring harnesses including engine, forward lights, dash, rear lights In hood turn signals are new and function Delco 105 AMP CS130 alternator conversion It has new speakers installed front and rear and wires run to the trunk for an amp and subwoofer. Gauges from what I remember worked. I bypassed the ammeter since it was a poor design and a source of electrical fires in many cars of the era. Plus it wasn’t designed for the higher output alternator I installed. I mounted a voltmeter, oil pressure, and coolant temp gauge under the dash to be sure I was getting accurate engine parameter readings. I eventually planned on having the original gauges rebuilt although I did reface them. Fuel gauge is the only one currently hooked up on the original cluster and still works. Interior includes new carpet, center console, door panels, seat covers, seat foam, headliner, and upper door pads were recovered by Just Dashes. I replaced the original heater box with a Vintage Auto Air unit. I have the parts including the under hood components for air conditioning also but they’re still in the box and not installed at this time. They will also be included with the vehicle. New windshield New vinyl top Many emblems are new and exterior rear view mirrors are also new. New Magnum 500 wheels 15 x 7 front and 15 x 8 rear BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires. 245/60 - 15 front and 275/60 - 15 rear New rear bumper / front bumper re-chromed Overall the car is almost completely restored. I would estimate at least 95%. The only things I was still planning on doing was welding the new floor pan on the driver’s side. There was a baseball size hole in the existing pan and I just ran out of time / motivation to cut the old metal out and weld a new pan in so I just riveted a new one on top of it. It works great and the floor is solid but I generally like to do repairs properly instead of half way, just so you know. I was also planning on installing the disc brakes and air conditioning too but just don’t have the time or motivation at this point. Those parts will be included so you can install them if you’d like. It also needs a radio antenna. Speedometer needs a cable so it currently doesn’t function. It runs and drives great and is a real head turner. This was a very comprehensive restoration and is close to being a show car. A few more trim pieces need to be installed, etc. but the car is in my estimation, 95+ percent done. I have most of the items (glovebox liner, dome light lens, etc.) that I will try to track down and include with the vehicle. I recently moved so many things are still boxed up "somewhere". I'll also include the disc brake kit and under hood components if desired and the major items should be there but you may have to track down some misc. screws / bolts etc. for the kits. Again, I'm pretty sure everything is there but don't want to be misleading if some minor items are missing. Here is a video of it starting and running http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOIQTTwxvuA Please contact me with any questions that you may have. I try to be honest in my assesment and have no desire to rip anyone off. Overall, I think this is a great car and was restoring it for myself so I wasn't cutting any corners and wanted to make sure it was safe and reliable. If I don't answer, leave a message and I'll return your call when I can. Tim 801-376-2365 A $500 dollar deposit is required within 24 hours of auction end via PayPal. Full payment is due within 7 days of auction end. Buyer is responsible for pick up / shipping but I will try to accomodate any reasonable requests. I prefer final payment in cash but I will consider bank checks or wire transfer. However, vehicle and title will not be released until I have actual cash for the full amount in my hand. I've had bad experiences in the past with wire transfers / checks so I'm trying to avoid any more problems. Again, I'm a reasonable person so just discuss it with me before the auction closes and I'll try and work with you. The car is out of registration so you'll need to arrange for a temporary permit if you plan on driving it.
