I bought this VW pickup about a year and a half ago for my daughter to drive for school and work now that she is a senior it isn't cool anymore. I was planning on restoring it but have to many other projects. The person that I bought the truck from said that it had a new motor with less than 10,000 miles on at the time and I know we haven't put on more that 5,000 miles since I bought it. The truck runs great and gets about 40 mpg as you would expect a VW diesel to do. It does have a 4 speed manual transmission. I wouldn't be afraid to get in this truck and drive it any where in the country that I needed to. I will give you a list of what was done to the truck after I bought it and what I know is wrong with it. What was done or is good: Fuel pump gone thru and timing set Brake master cylinder and parking brake set Shifting linkage kit put in Tires are it in good shape Tonneau cover made to fit Clear title Comes with original seat (see picture) Strut towers in excellent shape (see picture) Comes with a newer model rabbit manual and speciality tools (see picture) What I know needs work: Speedometer reads 5 mph slow and odometer is short by a tenth of a mile Mileage shown is 191,470 but with the odometer being off my best guess is something over 200,000 Fuel guage is off, 1/4 tank is empty Windshield is cracked, side mirrors cracked Glo-plug relay doesn't work but glow plugs do work Turn signals sometimes work, haven't had time to look at it Does have a number of smaller dents and surface rust, one major rust area in front of drivers side rear wheel (shown in picture) Paypal prefered but will except personal check or bank check with a 14 day waiting period. Could arrange delivery up to 600 miles at $1.50 a mile, will discuss with buyer if needed. This is an as is sale, I have given information to the best of my knowledge.
