Up for auction is a very nice 1981 Volkswagen Rabbit Diesel showing 79,500 miles, which appears to be original milage. This vehicle is a Southern car from Birmingham Al. with all original paint. There is no rust in the strut towers, front frame horns, floor pans, rear quarters, and rocker panels are all rust free. Ther is slight surface rust on some small areas of the car in different areas from sun damage and from a few spots where the paint has been chipped away, but shows no signs of damage or paint work. The interior is tan and also in very good condition. The seats are in above average condition. All door panels are intact, carpet is clean, and the headliner is in great condition as well. This is a non-sunroof car so no worries about leaking sunroof seals.. The dash is in good shape with no cracks.This car runs and drives excellent, has plenty of power and the transmission shifts well, and the clutch feels strong. The car drives as it should with no vibration or pulling.The AC operates as it should blowing the cold air. It has the 1.6L Diesel engine, with 5 speed transmission and will achieve average fuel economy in the 40-45mpg range. We have completed a thorough inspection on the vehicle insuring that all maintenance is brought up to date and to insure a good safe running vehicle.
