This car first came in for inspection before a conversion. It was originally bought in Beverly HIlls, Ca. but came to Oregon from Connecticut. The car was purchased back east from a retired military pilot who babied this vehicle and garaged it. After purchase it was driven 3000 miles to Oregon. Upon inspection I found a fuel leak and replaced all the fuel delivery valve seals. I also replaced a leaky oil sending unit. The number 6 injector was weak and that was replaced. The passenger rear window regulator was broken and that was replaced. It was recommended to change all injectors but $$ was an issue and the other 5 remain, on my recommendation the car will get the other 5 injectors (a cost of $1000) put in for free if the buy it now option is used.. Total repair was $1100. The car was given the ok for the conversion but the new owner ran into financial difficulties and after months of searching and finally getting the right one, He now has given it up for a consignment sale. :-(.... The car is in excellent condition and is a great candidate for alternative fuel bio-diesel or vegetable oil. The interior is very clean and well kept. The dash has but one tiny 1/4 inch long crack. I have bought and sold many of these and my wife drives a 99 with 190k miles on it with a veg oil conversion. I have not seen one with a cleaner dash as all that I have seen have cracks around air vents and passenger air bag. This car was reportedly garaged and this makes me believe it. It has no foul smells and is believed to be smoke free. The car does not have the leather down the middle of seat, it has MB text. The leather will start to get cracks and wear but the Text does not and looks 1-2 years old not 13. This car has continental Tires with around 50 % tread life remaining. The motor runs smooth. The car excellerates smoothly until the turbo kicks in about 2700 rpms then excelleration is powerful. The transmission shifts smoothly through all 5 gears. Upon inspection I found no other leaks or drips. The heating and AC works Steering and handling on the car are up to par, its a mercedes and turns on a dime. All the electrical components are working correctly the power seats with memory all function. The owner reported that the sunroof had stalled once and would not go back all the way. It opened and closed properly recently. The car has a stock stereo and does have the Bose speaker upgrade. Nice sound! The exterior of the car is in great condition also. There are minor blemishes and 2 small dings that are barely visible. There was a front right small collision and the bumper foglight radiator and lower support were replaced. It did no go into the fender or hood. There is evidence of repaint on the passenger rear side also and a small area of clearcoat peel shown in pictures at the seam above passenger rear door on the roof. The car is not new and has a few small rock chips and very light bumper scratching and I did my best to show the imperfections in the pictures. All in all I feel that this car is in very good condition and was well cared for with 4 years of maintenance records totaling over $8000, these include tire and oil changes. I could not fit the pics of them in the ad but have them nonetheless.... can email them to you. The repairs show new ac parts, tie rods, engine mounts, brake rotors and pads, wheel bearings, window regulators, an air mass meter, and others, all done at a mercedes repair specialist. The front end repair was over $4000 with a new radiator, fan and fan clutch with bumper and fog light. This is not a big deal for these cars and does not affect the driveability, although the parts are pretty easily replaceable, they can be expensive if you go to a fine repair shop and get "retailed". If you know these cars they have a very low front end and the radiator support hangs down a few inches and it can be taken out by a curb impact, I know I had to replace 2 radiators on my wife's first 210 body 96 e 300. So buying one with a lot more miles may have a lot of repair bills on the horizon but this one has had most of the wear n tear items replaced.
