Vehicle Detail
I have a 2006 Screaming Yellow Mustang with 61,067 miles on it. It is the pony package with the interior upgrade. It started out as a 4.0 V6 but my need to go faster got me to buy a new Ford Racing block and have a motor built to convert the car to its current V8 motor. It is the 4.6 liter for this year Mustang. The car is NHRA legal to 10.0 and is also legal for the street, it is inspected in Pennsylvania until June of 2012. That was important to me as I drive the car to the track and around town as well. It has also been on several road trips not to the track. It has put out 515 rear wheel horse power and 513 rear wheel torque on a Mustang dyno. The car has the stock shaker 500 6 cd stereo in it and the A/C blows cold air. The car is still in full street trim, nothing has been done to remove any weight from the car. Drive it around town, on a road trip or down the drag strip. It was built for multi purpose which is why I had a fuel cell made and installed so you can run high quality race fuel at the track without have to pump out all the fuel from the tank when you get there or having to trailer the car. It has run a best of 10.7 @ 127 mph and runs about 16.5-17 psi boost with the 2.75 pulley. The car has been set up to drive to the track, race and drive home. I have driven it several times from Pennsylvania to Milan, Michigan raced and driven it home along with trips to Maryland International Raceway and Orlando, Florida. You can either trailer it or drive it, your choice. The car has been garage kept, the garage is heated in the winter. I have the title in hand. Other than the break in oil on the motor, it has had Amsoil full synthetic oil in it and changed every 3000 miles. It uses no oil either. It is Screaming Yellow with black painted racing stripes. The front bumper could use a new paint job but the car has been driven. There are a lot of extras to go with car as well that are listed below. A new A/C Compressor. Two spare belts . Three new sets of HTO's gapped at .028 plus one used set. A 3.0 and 2.75 pulley for the blower. Four 18" black bullett rims with the machined lip, the tires have about 30% tread left on them and they come with the tribar chrome spinner center caps. I have to open lug nuts so you can run these rims with the 3” wheel studs. Go Mods: Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger with a 2.75 and 3.0 pulley. The blower has about 10,000 miles on it and runs great. Built motor with Manley forged rods and pistons .020 over on a new Ford Racing block. About 8k on the motor with stock crank but the motor has been balanced. Arp head studs and fasteners were used in the build. 60lb flow matched fuel injector. BMR fuel rails. Performance Automatic Competition 4R70W transmission with automatic valve body, no trans brake, Bauman controller, deep trans pan with dip stick with about 10k on trans. SFI flex plate. PI triple disc 3k stall converter. B&M Hammer ratchet shifter with reverse lock out. Thumprr heavy duty belt tensioner. Xcal 2 with three tunes, one street tune for 93 octane and two track tunes for 112 leaded turbo blue. Stock heads with a mild cam from Brenspeed, it is their twin screw grind. These are the cams: http://www.brenspeed.com/127bren2.html Innovators West 18% overdrive crank pulley. Meziere electric water pump and a Meziere high flow intercooler pump. These are wired to switches along with the radiator fan and heat exchange fans to turn on in pits with the engine off to cool car down quickly to make it more consistent. Afco dual pass heat exchanger with dual fans. Wired to a switch to turn on pits with engine off to cool down the car. Optima Yellow top battery relocated in trunk with shut off switch. Bigger intercooler reservoir located where the battery was, ice can be added to it. Custom 7 gallon fuel cell with GT500 pumps installed in it. GT500 pumps are in the stock tank too. With a flip of a switch you turn the power off to the tank fuel pump and turn it on to the fuel cell, open a ball valve and you are ready to go with the race fuel. Fuel cell is located where the spare tire goes. A firewall has been installed also to make the car NHRA legal. I have been running 112 unleaded turbo blue fuel in the fuel cell but you can run any race gas you want. Dynatech long tube headers with x pipe and gutted cats. SLP powerflow mufflers New braided fuel lines from tank to rails including fuel cell with an fittings. New fuel filter as well that is a cleanable fuel filter. Ford Racing Intake with an HPX mass air flow meter. CHE rear axle brace, lower control arms, adjustable upper control arm, drive shaft loop, front sway delete, relocation brackets, anti-squat brackets, k member brace with torque limiters, adjustable pan hard bar. Heavy duty 1" rear sway bar. Moser axles with 3" wheel studs. Aluminum drive shaft Ford Racing 3.73 gears with a Detroit trutrac and girdle. Tokico D specs adjustable shocks and struts, the rear shock have the extenders installed to make it easier to adjust them. Dynojet wideband commander and boost gage in the double “A” pillar gage pod. Line Locks wired to the flash to pass switch to activate. MSD two step. Custom made 6 point chrome moly roll bar with swing outs. Simspon 5 point racing harness but the harness expires the end of July. Rotor pros drilled and slotted rotors with Hawk HP pads. Race Star front and rear rims 15x10 rear and 15x3.75 fronts. Fronts have Mickey Thompson Sportsman radials on them, same as the extra set of 15x10 for the rears. It has Mickey Thompson drag radials size 295/55/15 with 9 passes on the tires. It has all been professionally installed and built by Powerhouse 411 in Girard, Pa. Show Mods: Shelby CS6 fornt bumper California dream hood with washer nozzles relocated to wiper. The hood is a functional ram air hood. Scott Drake hood pins. Sequential tail lights. Black and yellow leather seats. Custom yellow door panel inserts. I have almost a pint of the dye left from doing the panels. Yellow leather center console cover. Painted racing stripes Chrome interior door handles, a/c knobs, door lock pins, power point cover. Yellow tint overlays on the headlights and fog lights. Black tint overlays on the tail lights and side markers. Smoked turn signal lenses with stealth bulbs. Painted mirror covers. Painted 1/4 window louvers. Tinted windows. I have an extra set of floor mats with the tribar pony. If you have any questions feel free to ask. There is probably some other stuff on the car that I have forgotten to list. I have been modding the car since I purchased it new in March of 2006. I am the only owner of the car.
