Hello and welcome to my Auction! Reserve Price Set at $7000.00 Below What I Have Invested!!! 1972 Dodge Demon Resto-Mod - Original H Code 340 Car - Upgraded to 416 Stroker Roller Motor History : I bought this car almost 3 years ago as a project car. It was in relatively good condition, but oh boy, I had no idea how far things would go! The previous owner had done a very good job of documentation and maintenance history. I have stacks of receipts going back for years, and the original build sheet...hmmm...what is left of the build sheet. Mechanically, the car was solid, but it needed a paint job, so I thought I would pick it up and put a couple thousand dollars in it and drive the wheels off for fun on the weekends. Well, things often have a funny way of working out, because after only driving the car 4 times a rod started knocking in the motor. Damn. So, I decided to go all out and build a sweet 416 Stroker Roller Motor to enhance the fun of driving. But that was not all, the paint and body work was the really fun experience, as we discovered the car needed more than just a cheap respray...okay...so I thought if I am going to spend big bucks on making the car run great I might as well have a paint job to match. Oh boy, that turned into months at the body shop as I added "this" and changed "that" to make the car look like a creation from my hero Chip Foose. I think I did pretty well with the design philosophy. After all the long hours of work and money spent, now the car sits in my garage and collects dust because I am the type of car nut that is afraid to get a scratch on the beautiful paint I paid huge money for. LOL...Unfortunately for me, I have far too many car toys and not enough time to drive them, so I am selling some cars to move on to other projects with my house - you know, what the wife likes on HGTV... Exterior Condition: The Dupont base coat / clear coat paint is smooth as glass, and fresh out of the paint booth. The paint has been color sanded and buffed to a super shine. There is ZERO rust anywhere. I cannot quite say "100 point show car", but FAR better than a "driver quality". This is NOT a car you want to be driving around all the time. This is a car you take to local cruise nights and MOPAR club shows. The body work is super straight as you can see in the pictures. You have to get super picky, and I really mean super picky, to find any flaws. The paint and body is a 9.9 out of 10 all day long as it should be since it has hardly been driven since the restoration. I have pictures detailing the paint and body work, and receipts for all work done. The paint is under warranty. If I had to be over the top picky and say anything negative...the right side sport mirror mount needs to be repaired, and there is some over spray in the fender wells that could be fixed up with some black undercoating, and I have some fender trim that would look great if installed. That is digging really deep to say "negative" considering how awesome the car looks. I apologize for the crappy camera I used to take the pictures. The pictures do not do the car justice to how awesome the paint looks. Interior Condition: The interior is almost brand new condition. Only minor fading in the carpet and on the rear deck. The dash is perfect - I challenge you find a perfect dash in an old Dodge. The seats have custom stitching. Custom steering wheel. Custom gauges under the dash with tachometer. B&M Mega Shifter on the floor. Just a really nice looking interior without too much flair. Stock looking with tasteful touches. The interior is 9.5 out of 10. Mechanical Condition: Mileage is reasonable for the age of the vehicle. Everything works lights, signals, gauges, odometer...basically, the car is in top condition mechanically. The car is "high option" with power steering and power disc brakes. No oil or fluid leaks. 416 Stroker Roller Motor starts and runs like new. Sounds wicked as hell, especially at wide open throttle. Drives and handles better than new with upgraded suspension components and low profile tires. No noises or other quirks you commonly find in older cars. The car is super fun to experience REAL Detroit muscle the way it should be...just animalistic and noisy power, with the intoxicating smell of raw fuel and burning rubber. The only original components of the engine are the block - date code 1968 340 block - and the MOPAR X Heads. Every single other component in the engine has been replaced with top of the line new components, like Forged Crank, Forged Rods, Forged Pistons, Comp Cams Roller Cam, Stainless Valves, Roller Cam Valve Springs...everything brand new, and only 1500 miles on the break in. I have thousands of dollars in receipts for mechanical upgrades done by the previous owner and myself. 727 Transmission was rebuilt about 3000 miles ago with a shift kit added, and I have the receipt for the rebuild, plus the transmission was recently serviced by AMS Racing while the engine build was done. The rear end is a 8.75 742 case and was rebuilt with an Auburn Posi unit and 296 gear ratio. All of the power train is solid as a rock. If you have any questions about the quality of the mechanical work done, feel free to contact Raymond Kittler at AMS Racing. http://www.amsracing.net 318-222-7889 Special Features: The list is too long to tell you about all of the cool stuff. Boyds 17" and 18" wheels with custom painted accents that match the body color. Bumpers, mirrors, and door handles painted to match body color. All exterior trim powder coated charcoal gray to match. Charcoal custom AAR style stripes done to match exterior trim. Functional hood scoop. Edelbrock engine dress up valve covers and air cleaner. Non-oil APC performance air filter. MSD 6AL. Electric Fan. Optima Battery with upgraded wiring and gold plated terminals. New alternator. New power steering pump. New Hooker headers. Custom exhaust. Custom interior. B&M Mega shifter. Front sway bar with urethane bushings. KYB gas pressurized shocks. Look, just trust me, everything is upgraded or custom. Big $$$$ spent. I have receipts for most of the cool stuff. Here's the deal. I am personally certifying this Demon to be "no surprises" to the new owner, and the car is worth FAR MORE than what I am asking. I have gone out of my way to fully describe the car, so if you know A-Body MOPAR's then you know what you are looking at. I also want to say this is a really serious Muscle Car with a high-dollar restoration. This is not some crap box that someone threw together to cash in on the interest in muscle cars created by Mecem Auctions and Barrett-Jackson. Rip off cars are all over eBay. They are easy to spot because they do not have pictures to prove the quality of the restoration, and they have no receipts to prove the quality of the parts used. I have loads of pictures and thousands of dollars in receipts going back through my ownership and the previous owner. I have been serious about cars for 35 years and I never, ever, play around with projects. You can bid with confidence. Please feel free to check out my 100% positive Feedback that stretches over my 8 year long eBay membership. I am an honest seller, and I always live up to my word. Conditions of Purchase: I have the title in hand, so no worries about dealing with banks or liens. $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 3 business days of end of auction. Have your money ready in advance. This is a LOW Reserve Auction, so if you bid, you better be ready to buy. If you have less that 10 Feedback, or you have an Negative Feedback, please contact me before bidding. I reserve the right to cancel any bid. The car is for sale locally at the Buy It Now price, so do not take a chance on me selling the car and ending the auction early. Use the Buy It Now. $19,995.95 is STEALING the car. Don't be stingy. Life is far too short to quibble over a few hundred bucks and lose the opportunity of a lifetime to own a truly beautiful example of a 1972 Dodge Demon Resto-Mod. Shipping: Shipping is the responsibility of the Buyer, but I have used Dependable Auto Shippers several times over the years, and they have always charged a very fair shipping rate. I will be happy to deliver the car to the local DAS depot for pickup, or assist in any way I can with arrangements. Please ask all questions before auction end. I am very good about responding quickly, and I give complete answers, no BS. If you want to see the car in person I can make arrangements in the evenings after 6:00 pm. Happy bidding and good luck to the winner.
