up for auction is a rare 1926 chrysler sport coupe barn find... est. 40 years in a barn. I bought this car just because i hate the scrap iron industy and all the nostalgic car that have been crushed due to high values as recycled metal. i have owned it for roughly a year and bought it locally in colorado where it had been stored for about 40 years this car would be a great start to a restorer as it has all the wooden components and the few pieces of wood that are not in good shape are still good enough to use as templates to build new. the interior is pretty typical with rodent poop but the gauges are in remakably good condition. the steering wheel is also in quite good condition as well as the wood grain dash and door panels. the car feels solid doors open and close well are not loose or torn up too bad. also has all the glass in it and the decrative scrolls that run on the side of the cab. this car also has the rumble seat although years ago sombody cut the back of the car body to make the trunk bigger it appears, also it is missing the front axle but still has the rear axle and a couple of the original wood wheels. when i got the car it was buried to the axle in cow manure so the differential cover is rusted through i presume from the cow poop. the metal is in good condition not too many dings or rust spots. It has the original 4 cylinder which i believe is free also the front grille and emblem as well as the hood. All in all it would be very cool and very collectable if fixed up and most of the parts are there to do so.
