** 1980 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER FJ40 ** “Showroom Condition” ** Body Condition ** This Land Cruiser lived most of its life in California before I purchased it. Due to the exceptional care by the previous owner “rust” was not a factor with this vehicle. It was repainted piece-by-piece using factory Freeborn Red in base coat clear coat (color code #309) . The hardtop had never been removed before painting. **ALL STEEL** No fiberglass, aluminum, rhino liner, or diamond plate on this BEAUTY. I have been restoring Land Cruisers as a hobby the past 10 + years. This FJ40 has been my personal vehicle for a good part of that time. There is always one special one you keep and this one has been it for me. Hardly ever driven but kept as a show piece. Toyota published a layout on me in Toyota Connections Magazine. This vehicle was one that was described in the article. All dash controls, gauges, and lights in perfect working order. Jump seats and all seat belts in place. Original Toyota spare tire jack, rods, and tool kit in original mountings. Sony AM/FM CD. Front seat frames, rear jump seat frames and roll bar have been powder coated. New Toyota OEM parts include: · Top dash pad · Lower dash pads · Front and rear floor mats · Transmission and transfer case boots and knobs · Dome light · Jump seat straps · Tuffy locking center console · Seat belts ** MECHANICAL CONDITION ** 84K miles on stock Toyota six cylinder (2F 4.2 Liter). 4-speed synchronized transmission, 4-wheel drive, and brakes in perfect condition. This vehicle is equipped with POWER STEERING. New BF Goodrich Radial All Terrain Tires T/As (31” x 10.50” x 15”) mounted on factory 15” wheels (powder coated white) . New TPI (stock height) Suspension (including springs, greaseable shackles, bushings, shocks), tie rod ends, steering stabilizer. Man A Fre ceramic header and Weber carburetor installed. Complete new stainless steel exhaust. Emissions equipment removed for performance and not needed with local requirements (most all items kept and available). Driveshaft’s have been removed and balanced.
