Vehicle Detail

1953 Chevrolet "Handyman" Station Wagon. This is a running, driving, 1953 Chevrolet "Tin Woody" Handyman Station Wagon. It is very complete. I have a clear title in my name. All the windows are in place and they are not cracked or broken. The rear seat folds down as it was designed and the spare tire will is covered with the original floor lid. The unique rear bumper for "Tin Woody" wagons is in place and all of the attaching door handles for the tailgate are in place and work as they were designed. The motor runs good and the car shifts through all the gears properly. The car is very original and still has the original interior. The original air-cleaner and an extra taillight is included with the sale. Please read closely the issues surrounding the following problems areas with the Wagon. I want the new owner to know exactly what they are bidding on. I know that photographs often make a car look better than it is. With this in mind the following problems will need to be addressed: 1. The tailgate is rusted and needs to be repaired. 2. There is rust in the floors. I have taken close up photos of the rust issues and I have super-sized the photos so you can evaluate the condition. The frame is dry and most of the floors are solid, but there are holes along the door-sill on both sides and there is a rust hole in the rear close to the spare tire well. The spare tire well is good. 3. There are rust issues along the bottom of the rear fender on the driver's side. 4. The radio is missing. 5. The engine is a 6 cylinder Chevrolet engine, but I don't think it is the original engine for the Station Wagon. It is period correct, but I don't think it is the original motor. A $500.00 PayPal deposit is required within 48 hours of the auction closing. If you have less than 10 Ebay feedbacks, please call me before bidding. My home phone number is (801) 745-0599. Please call if you have any questions about the car as well. I highly value my Ebay Feedback score and I want the new owner to be satisfied with the Station Wagon. Good luck bidding. On Jul-21-11 at 05:49:55 PDT, seller added the following information: An Ebay member asked about the title. I have a clear title in my name. I will gladly store the car for up to 30 days in order for you to arrange transportation.
