4 door diesel *rare* automatic transmission (I have only seen a half dozen here on Ebay in the last 10 years). It gets appx. 35 to 40 MPG. Unusual set-up is the transmission linkage is hooked to the throttle cable,. So that, when you take your foot completely off the pedal, the car goes into neutral. Allowing you to coast freely. As soon as you slightly depress the throttle, the transmission re-engages. As far as I can tell, this is a factory arrangement. This is the only automatic that I have ever seen with my own eyes! It was purchased appx. 10 years ago with 110,000 miles on it. I had it in and out of storage because my wife couldn't use it due to a medical condition. That's the reason only 10,000 miles have been put on the vechicle in the last 10 years. Body is in fair condition. Interior is in a little better condition. Tires are fair. The starter is appx. 2 years old but only has about 50 miles on it. It can be driven home, you bring a plate! Radio doesn't work. Battery is good, will start and go-go-go! The radiator fan works as it should. It will kick on and off if you are idling in traffic. Drive it as it is or restore it as a rare automatic Rabbit. Anything I haven't covered, please ask!! Car is in Ohio about 15 miles north of Wheeling,West Virginia. The car does NOT have A/C.
