Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE We have a lot of time, effort and money into listing this motorcycle on ebay. Please be respectful of that and do not bid until you have read the entire description/terms of the auction and are certain that you intend to follow through with the sale. Your bid is a contract to buy. We have the listing set up to accept bids only from US bidders in an effort to prevent scammers from ruining the auction. If you are a legitimate bidder outside of the US and you have a way to have the bike picked up at our location without it being crated, e-mail Chris at chris@motoworkschicago.com. Provide him with your ebay ID and confirm that you can arrange international shipping and have the bike picked up uncrated at our location in Chicago, and he will add you to the list that allows you to bid. Up for auction is a 1976 BMW R90S in Daytona Orange. 1976 was the last year for this legendary and ground breaking motorcycle. The R90S is THE collectable BMW from the '70s. It debuted in 1974 as BMW's first sport bike and the first production bike to be sold with a fairing. It utilizes higher compression and BIG Del'Orto carburetors to produce a lot more power than the standard R90/6, making it a lot of fun to ride. This one is in excellent cosmetic shape and the engine got a fresh top end about 300 miles ago. It just got new tires and it runs and rides beautifully. The bodywork has a nice looking repaint, and the rest of the bike is original. It shows its age here and there but looks great overall. This is a bike that will only go up in value. There are 52 clickable thumbnails below detailing the condition of the bike. If you click on the pictures again after they open, they get even larger. Please look at all of them carefully and ask any questions you have before bidding. You can call Chris at 312-878-8711, e-mail him at chris@motoworkschicago.com, or contact us through ebay. The bike is located at Motoworks in the city of Chicago. If you are local and would like to see it in person, please call 312-878-8711 to set up an appointment. Shipping a motorcycle can be expensive, so be sure to look into it before bidding. The zip code is 60608 to help in figuring shipping. Our recommendation for a great shipper is Danny at D&K Services. He can be reached at 973-534-7823. If you are an Illinois resident, we must process the title and plate application for you (it is the same cost as if you bought it from a private party). If you are an Illinois resident or a resident of any of the states that reciprocate with Illinois on vehicle tax, we must collect sales tax on the vehicle based on the tax rate of your state. Winning bidder picks up in Chicago or arranges for/pays for all shipping/crating. We'll deliver, uncrated, to a local shipper for $150 extra. We'll deliver within 100 miles of Chicago for $1.50 per mile round trip ($20 minimum). $500 deposit via PayPal due within 24 hours of auction close. Remainder via one of the standard payment methods within seven days. No PayPal for remainder unless you contact us first. The bike is to be picked up within three weeks of auction close. $25 per week storage fee after that.Click on the thumbnails below:
