Vehicle Detail
1973 International Wagonmaster model 1010 (2wd 1/2 ton). I have had alot of fun with this and get asked about it when ever I drive it. I have taken it to many shows around Lansing and Detroit. You can google International Wagonmaster to get more familiar with this truck. I have done alot of work on this truck.. New metal on some of the cab floor and on the rear of the rear quarters was installed and the spare tire and gas tank compartment. Some filler was used only on the rear wheel wells. No filler on the rockers, doors, hood, fenders was needed. Inner fenders are in great shape including the hinge area. (I have been trying to load a web page that shows all the work but the site must be down. I will try again and add it to the listing tonight or tomorrow) I will try to describe everything that I can think of, I tend to be a little more negative than needed but want the buyer to have a good idea of the vehicle. I am only selling because I don't have enough time to keep everything maintained and driven that I have...It has not been driven in the snow or salt and stored inside since it was restored, sorry about the quality of pictures my camera is a little foggy for some reason. If you want pictures of anything please don't hesitate to ask. The paint is shiny and the seats and carpet are clean. This vehicle was brought from Texas to Michigan a few years ago. It had a locked up 392 and was replaced with a 304 2 barrel, which the carb needs adjusting from time to time, and the 304 had about 60k on it when I removed it from another parts rig and runs strong.. Starts and runs pretty good, electric fuel pump, starts with the key and has a toggle for engine ignition power It had a/c but was removed. Heater works great. 3 speed auto trans, original. The speedo shows 54,852 but unknown of the original miles, I can not verify if they are original selling as unknown. The milage will change by the end of the sale as were taking ot on a trip this week. The exterior had woodgrain vinyl where the white stripe is. The paint job looks pretty good, has a few dings in it here and there. I was going to replace the hood since it has some hail dings in it. The bed is solid and was coated. The tahnoe cover is off a ford pickup that was altered to fit. Has LIMO BLACK windows and custom rear window decal. Winshield has a crack. It has 1-16 gallon fuel tank, gas guage inop. Power steering, drips, and manual brakes that stops on a dime. Could use front shocks. Dual glass pack exhaust, which are throaty and a little loud for me but they were on there when I bought it. Tires are ok around town but need new ones, rims are average. If you want a original set of rims and hub caps I will through them in at no additional cost. The interior has cloth seats, very nice front and rear from a 2001 tahoe which the fronts are electric and air lumbar. Both front and rear have folding center consoles. The bases could shortened but suit me fine. Am/FM Cd with large box behind the rear seat. The carpet is a molded carpet kit, and new. The headliner is new. The dash looks good but does have some cracks at the speaker cover. All the door panels are in good shaped. Feel free to call me at 517-899-1301 at any time to ask any question. You can come take it for a drive if you want to. Sold as is where is. I can store it for a month or so at no cost if you need it shipped. pickup only. I can load it for you. Deposit of $250.00 due within 24hrs via paypal after end of auction. Balance due within 5 days. I reserve the right to end the auction early as it is now for sale locally. Lansing Michigan 48906 if you need that for shipping quotes. Its a very nice rig that with most vehicles of it's age needs a little thing here and there but for sure a unique head turner. If I can think of anything else I will add it. But again, feel free to call me anytime, I am Easter Time. Also the light on the right inside fender, under the hood, is not a IH item. It was taken out of a late 90's chevy pickup since IH did not have under the hood light. This light has a cord on it which you can pull the light out and reach to the other side of the engine for use when it is dark. I install these on all my IH vehicles. The battery is good also. I do not know the gear ratio. It is a dana 60. The interior currently blue and black is not original colour as seen in the pictures it was maroon. The exterior paint was painted back to the original colour Britney blue. The original wood grain stripe was not reinstalled because of cost and thought it would look sharper white. The woodgrain had been painted over at some point and was removed, reprimered and then painted white. The rims are NOT IH original they are alulminum off a ford pickup. Yes the window tint can be removed, fairly easy. There is no spare tire but I can include one. The back seats do fold down. Yes inteior dome light works. On Jul-13-11 at 09:04:46 PDT, seller added the following information: A few more questions by another caller. yes 99% of the trim was removed when painted, picture added of it in primer, door handles were not removed. The front clip was painted off the truck and installed after it was painted. Yes rear window decal can be easily removed. On Jul-15-11 at 13:48:41 PDT, seller added the following information: It is Friday July 15th, 5:00p.m. central time. We are heading up north, with the truck, be back late Sunday night. Internet if existant is very minimal. I will go to a location as often as possible to answer and questions they may get sent. Again my cell number is 517-899-1301 feel free to call or text any time, if you get voicemail, because of no reception please leave a message I will call you back as soon as I can. Worse case, questions will not be answered till late Sunday evening. Thank you!
