Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 I need to clarify that the bumper, winch and tow bar come with the sale as seen. It just needs a PTO.The following question was asked by a bidder and I think my respond will add some more insight to this truck's mechanical condition. Dear mb300se65, Is you wagon in good enough condition to make it across the country? Thanks, Michael “Obviously the clutch would need to get replaced first, then personally I’d attempt it. As old as the truck is, if you plan to do that I’d have some good mechanical skills. I’m not speaking of being a mechanic, but it’s usually the little things that happen, and you need to be a weekend fiddler on cars in your garage at home to be able to diagnose the problem and fix it. It would probably be a $20 - $40 part you pick up on the way at an auto parts store and be off again. When we lived in the city I used it as commuter vehicle, driving 60 miles every day back and forth to work. I’ve also driven it down to CA and back several times which is an 8 hour drive one way. That was on the freeway doing 65 – 70 mph all day. Since that time I’ve put new brakes on it, re-wired it and done many other things. The truck’s not pretty at all and looking at it you wouldn’t think it’d make it out of the driveway. I’ve kept it that way intentionally. It gets a lot of stares and thumbs up.” Other than the clutch, I would put this truck mechanically up against any of the pretty looking Willys wagons being sold here. It's in much better condition than when I drove it 60 miles a day as a commuter and the ratty body is not an indication of it’s drivability. I’ve always likened it to a sleeper!
