Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 1973 Porsche 914. I have owned this car for 2 years. I purchased it on ebay from a guy in New Jersey paid $7400 for it. When I bought it from him he had just had the car painted Black, the original color was arctic blue. I believe there is some bondo (not much) and there is one rust spot around the drivers door handle. Underneath the car there is not any rust, floorboards are good, and the battery tray has some corrosipo where the battery actually sits, but underneathe is very sound. The car is currently WV state inspected. When I first brought the car home I had an old school Porsche mechanic go over the car. He adjusted the valves, did a compression test (which was good), fixed the emergencey brake, rebuilt the rear brake calipers, and changed all fluids. Since then i have: Replaced the transmission with a rebuilt unit (works flawlessly) Installed new clutch and pressure plate installed 4 new Yokohama tires Completely tuned up the car (cap, rotor, wires, coil) Replaced all vacum lines with silicon lines Replaced all rubber brake lines Rebuilt the pedal assembly with new bushings I have most of the receipts for this work, in fact i have receipts dating back to the 1980's from previous owners who were Porsche car club of America members. I have some spare parts, all that I have goes with the car. Owners manual is in the glove box. I have no way of knowing the miles on this car, the odometer is broken. The car runs and handles well. The Monza exhaust although rusty emits a sweet sound. you can contact me through ebay with questions or call me directly at 304-322-0461. On Jul-04-11 at 15:31:15 PDT, seller added the following information: This car still has the factory fuel injection. It has the more desirable 2.0 litre flat four. It is pretty spunky for a 4! Radio works or at least comes on but the speakers are shot no sound comes out. It has been converted to a pertronix electronic ignition. On Jul-06-11 at 19:03:00 PDT, seller added the following information: Title is clear and in my posession. One targa latch is missing. I have the part just never got around to replacing it. never a problem even at 100 MPH!
